B1G has some nice wins by Indiana and Michigan.  Surprised than Washington lost to Columbia who is a nice Ivy League team. Hope the Huskers are in top of their game and the travel issued don’t impact their play.

If we can get to the point of better seeding we can have some success.  Oregon beat a good Vanderbilt team in an upset and Iowa, who isn’t a

better than us, had an easy first round win.  B1G is doing OK.

South Dakota State.  Proof that a sound, fundamental team that is tenacious and extremely well coached can have success.  They have an excellent program.  Of course they have no chance against UConn where overwhelming talent will win out.

Watched the game too. Impressed with SDS. Just no mistakes, very few turnovers. No fear, just taking care of business.

Played full tilt the whole game. Looked a little like Creighton, but didn't rely on the 3. Like said...you could see how well coached they were.

I have question about a player getting sent to the locker room for a flagrant foul. The players team lost and is out of the tournament, does that player have to sit out the first game next year? I was watching the NAIA national tournament in Sioux City.

I would doubt that it carries forward to the next season, since it could be a SR. player and they wouldn't even have a "next season."

BYU lost a player for trying to split a double team and hitting, accidentally, a defender in the crotch.  It was ruled Flagrant 2 and he was sent to the locker.  I do not know if the rule carries over to the next game.

Are you 100% positive...

The player is/was a freshman.

The B1G cannot hold up to the SEC.  Illinois played Texas well for about 12 minutes and Ohio St was whipped on their home floor by Tennessee.  Maybe Iowa can hang with Oklahoma.  Illinois had some quick guards who were overwhelmed by Texas.  Same with Ohio State.  It takes speed, quickness, athleticism combined with good size to be elite.

They have been over rated all year.

I agree with this 100%, but have to admit that they looked a lot better than I remember them looking against NU earlier in the year.  They looked very athletic - just couldn't make a shot to save their lives.

Also, NCSU was absolutely on fire, which they are capable of from time-to-time.  There was no way MSU was going to survive the buzzsaw they ran into in Raleigh.

P.S.:  MSU coach constantly looks like she has a stick stuck somewhere that she doesn't want it stuck.
