We are an extremely eclectic team right now.  Some of our first half's have been abysmal; while some of 2nd stanzas have been things of beauty.   Man, if we can start playing 40 minute games, we provide some shock 'n awe.

We need to start seeing the ball go through the hoop a lot more early than we have been, but once again, our shot selection to start isn't necissarily an "attack the rim" strategy. This entire month, our first shot is a 3 or jumper.

Northwestern: Bryce missed 3

Maryland: Morgan missed jumper

Ohio St: Williams made 3

Washington: Berke made 3

Oregon: Berke missed 3

Nebraska will need to bring everything they got from here on out.

@Penn State - Penn State is an team that is underperforming.  They are fighting for a Big 10 tournament spot so this is going to be a lot harder game than some may think.  It is starting to make me more nervous with Minnesota beating UCLA at home.  This now becomes a must win for PSU

Michigan - Well Michigan usually has our number, but in all fairness this game won't hurt us if we lose and would be HUGE if we win.  I don't find this game any harder than the rest on our schedule.  Sad thing is that isn't saying this is going to be easy at all.  If we lose to Penn State this game becomes VERY important.

Minnesota - Like Penn State they are fighting for a Big 10 tournament spot.  They are playing good basketball right now, and them beating UCLA at home is building their confidence level.  This is one of the MUST wins left on our schedule

@Ohio State - This is the L on our remaining 5.  No one expects us to win this one, but if we do it will give us that boost we would need to finish the season out strong.  This is one of the Win/Win games... just don't get blown away

Iowa -  This is the game that I consider the MUST win.  Lose this game and the team moral will be out the window.  This is a revenge game, and one that I am sure the team has marked on their calendar.  They can't be too emotional for it, because that could nip them in the butt.

The crazy thing is, I can see them winning or losing every remaining game.  It feels like this is the deepest the Big 10 has been in a long long time.  There is no easy games this year.  Penn State is good, Minnesota is good and supposedly they are the worst teams in our conference.  Rutgers is the other team that is struggling and they have two lottery picks on their team.

We need to play hard for the last 200 minutes.  Give everything they got, because it is going to be very difficult from here on out.  Berke is a key piece, and we need him back and going 100%.  If not next man up!

We get Michigan at a pretty good time. They are one of the hottest teams in the country right now and are in the driver's seat of the Big Ten. They play MSU at home this Friday night, then will travel to Lincoln on Sunday. We get a much needed 5 days between tonight's game and the Michigan game. After Monday, Michigan's next three in a row are home games before playing MSU again the final game of the year. If there's any amount of complacency in them, seems like the Nebraska game would be a good time for it to show.

It's not a must win by any means, but would be a huge signature win for Nebraska. All of our quad 1 wins aren't looking as good as they once were. UCLA and Ohio St are dangerously close to dropping to quad 2 status. If we have four quad 1 wins instead of 6, along with the quad 3 (Rutgers) loss, all of a sudden our resume looks a lot like a whole lot of other teams out there. Illinois and Oregon have been struggling. Creighton has lost two in a row and now Kalkbrenner might be hobbling for awhile. Northwestern will likely keep dropping and could end up quad 2 as well.

I'm hoping Michigan wins on Friday and is top 10 when the polls come out on Monday. We will have an opportunity to get our biggest win of the year, by far.
