Today’s Tournament is now why I won’t ever worry about bracketology ever again.

The committee members are now talking like the NET ranking matters on the resume. Last year they said it didn't.

How do we know UNC's AD was not in the room when they were being talked about?  Just take their word for it.

The committee has shown time and time again that a strong OOC Non-Con can be the single differentiator in teams with similar resumes. Idk that ours would have been strong enough. Wanna be Top 75ish if possible.

 

We may have to start scheduling a little harder. Say we beat Minny and Iowa… I don’t know that we would have made it.

Some years, it's about WHO you beat.  Other years it's about who you PLAY.  Some years, it's about road record.  Some years, it's about bad losses.  That's what is frustrating.   Finally, in no world is UNC in over OSU. Indiana, or WVU.  This came down to the UNC AD being chair of the selection committee.

I understand that.  However, we are hamstrung.  We are not getting in a tournament with Dayton, Michigan State,  and Auburn.  That knocks out 3 games.  We played St Mary's on a neutral court.  We play Creighton every year.  That's 5 games all away from home every other year.  We only have 6 games left.  Probably need to be all home.  Probably need a home and home with a Power 6 school is all that's missing.  Our non con SOS according to Warren Nolan was 90.  Not horrible.

Nothing has ever been consistent year to year.
