At this point, if we went 4-10 down the Stretch it wouldn’t surprise me.

Yeeeeah. This isn't a tournament team. Can't lie to my eyeballs any longer 😕

Idk that I’m ready to make this statement already. We’re playing in one of the toughest (top 2) conferences in the country. A conference that will likely send more than half of its teams to the dance. A conference that will likely make up about 1/6 of the entire tournament field. Every game is going to be a grind.

This team has a road win over Creighton, beaten UCLA, taken St Mary’s to the wire, and fumbled two very winnable conference games. We’re as close to 4-2 as we are 2-4. Our “worst” loss is to a team with 2 top 10 draft picks.

We just need to get back to what got us to this point. Hard nosed D. Make teams uncomfortable. Make teams play OUR game. No shootout 80’s scores.

It’s tough, but we can’t let the last three games overshadow our overall body of work. We can completely play ourselves out for sure. We’ve seen this movie before. But maybe this team is different.

All valid. I just don't see it this year. Something is slightly off. And I've felt this way from the beginning. I thought this team was probably about as good as last year in Norms poll. And I don't know that much of that perception has changed for me. We're about as good. Maybe a little less. We're close. Just not quite there.

lots of ball to play. A road win at Maryland followed by a home win over USC can flip the mood around here 180 degrees.

Our team needs to stop making it seem so hard to go win on the road. Creighton just won at UConn. We handled Creighton on their home floor in front of a sold out crowd. Tomorrow will be a sparse sleepy Maryland crowd at Noon ET on a Sunday. No excuses, go out and physically dominate like we did at Creighton.

I’ll reference “No Country for Old Men” you’ve seen the same Team play that I have, & it’s certainly left an impression. I’m NOT giving up on the Team or the Season, but I haven’t seen anything they makes me believe we can rattle off a string of Wins, not with that schedule.

Looks like we maybe dropped one on KenPom… actually moved up 1 on T-Rank.

For Bart T- this game was actually our best played “loss” and was better than some of our wins. So… I guess.

We actually rose a spot in NET. So as good a paper loss as we could get. Went from 50 to 49

One small bright spot is that our losing streak has occurred in a stretch of 3/4 on the road. Typically road losses are more favorable than a home loss. So we’re still in a position where (IF we could win out at home) we could steal a single road game and finish 10-10.

Gophers WIN in Iowa City, first time since 2015. Tied now for Wins with Nebraska.

Also last night.  Ohio State won at Purdue (snapped 26-game home win streak)...  UCLA beat Wisconsin.

Got to bring it every night and close out games.  Nebraska has so far failed the opportunity for 3 more wins...

These last five games have sucked. The two home games were absolutely awful performances. However, our resume as it stands is still pretty strong and-- should we continue to win-- will only get stronger. I'm not kidding you when I say that 19 wins probably has us firmly on the bubble (even with a 9-11 conference record).

We still have a lot to play for. With 9 Q1 (2 Q2, 1 Q3) opportunities still out there, we can play ourselves back in. So I hope the team doesn't give up on the year just yet. Rutgers, as it stands, still remains our only Q3 loss. Should we finish 9-11 and win our Q2 and Q3 games... if everything remained the same, we'd head to the B1G tournament at 19-12/9-11, and our Quad records would be Q1: 5-10 Q2: 5-1 Q3: 3-1 Q4: 6-0

Now, we could very realistically lose every game we have from here on out. But I'm hopeful we can still turn this ship around... no matter how much it's sinking.

(This could all just be me hoping that the tickets I bought to the Iowa game later on this season isn't for a game that doesn't mean anything either)

Illinois got blown out by Maryland at home last night.  That's 3 losses in 4 games for Illinois.  Reese and Queen dominated.  Crazy those guys only had 11 points combined against Nebraska.  They put up 52 between them last night.

The most Nebrasketball thing would be to win the next 3 then lose at Washington...

Just looking at our schedule if we could get even one win before Washington...  Winnable road game against Washington then two straight home games.  Then two more winnable road games.  Then another two home games.

Hoping we keep grinding because we probably aren't as far off as we think.

As of yesterday, we're still showing up in over 1/2 of the brackets on BracketMatrix. We certainly aren't as far off as we as fans thing. It's like the completely reverse situation of where we've been in the past. In the past we think we're a lot further along than we really are and we actually have a lot of work to do. Now, we've done so much positive work prior to the 5 game losing streak that we're closer than we might think.

It's a weird spot to be in considering our history.

Did our NIT Title Team in ‘96 have an 11 or 9 game losing streak? We couldn’t remember @ the Zoo Bar today while watching our season melt away. We went from getting Top 25 Votes to OUT of the B1G Tournament in the snap of a finger.
