To be fair, Meah had been mostly subpar. But he'll be useful when an opponent has a big dude, which was obviously the case this evening. The three-headed monster of Berke, Braxton, & Andrew did work in Omaha against Kalk tonight. And so did Juwan, as a matter of fact. It was beautiful.

I’m old enough to remember guys on this board saying Braxton was a waste and an oaf and a horrible pickup.

They cut his minutes down to 11 and stopped trying to make him the pivot point of the offense.  He has a role it’s just not a 20 minute a night role on this team.  Hopefully the shift to a more 1 on 1 iso offense and mid range jumper game allows him to get a few easy buckets per game going forward.

I still think think Morgan should start over him.

Meah probably hits the 20 minute mark if he wasn’t in foul trouble. His size was causing Kalk issues.

I’m confused, or maybe just a slow on the “Uptick”  but how can a National Powerhouse Program like Creighton, with one of the Greatest Centers in Big East History (Sorry Rony Seikaly) be only TWO games ahead in the All-Time Series against a Perennial Bottom Feeder from the B1G who’s NEVER even Won a Tournament Game…?

I think the wave of throwing 3 different guys at Kalk the whole game was huge. We could bring in a fresh big body every 4-5 minutes and stick him on Kalk and make his life miserable. Then a couple fouls later, here comes another rested big man. I don't think it would have been possible for Meah to play 20 minutes and be that effective, if for no other reason than he would get tired and also he was going to take his 5 fouls. I love that we had 15 fouls to spare against Kalkbrenner and only needed 10 of them :)

Almost every player last night executed their role unbelievably well, Meah included. He didn't take a shot, had 6 boards, had 1 steal, didn't turn the ball over one time and played his ass off on defense guarding an All-American big man.

I don’t think so, I think it goes Berke, Morgan, meah in terms of minutes played per game going forward with Gary getting quite a bit of run at the 4.

I want to clarify I don’t think meah is worthless, he very much has a role.  He just can’t be the pivot point of the offense from the high post or 3 point line.  Very much looked like some offensive adjustments were made last night.
