HUD Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 Wow the timing of this in her career is so similar to that of Allison. Both during their Sophomore non conference season playing lights out following an outstanding freshman one. It's just crazy how many women suffer torn ACL'S playing WBB. I kind of understand a bit more why Amy plays as many players as she does. Three players on our bench with 5 five of these injuries. Neb Nets 1 Quote
All About the Corn Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 The amount of playing time has nothing to do with sustaining a major injury. We have seen over the years players play 35+ minutes for most of a season without having a major injury. With Allison we know what caused her first ACL injury. As I have read the chance of having a second ACL for women is higher than men. Allison second was in practice. I know I am looking forward to seeing Natalie on the floor next year. Cazzie22 1 Quote
HuscurAdam Posted November 21, 2024 Report Posted November 21, 2024 I've noticed a number of issues with the painted area on the new court in both the men's and women's games. It seems like players' feet are getting "stuck" at an abnormally high rate in the lane causing issues like turned ankles. However this is the first serious injury I'm aware of. Something to monitor. Fastbreaker Posted November 22, 2024 Report Posted November 22, 2024 I noticed The projected Starting lineup For this afternoon Is the same as somebody suggested in the north Alabama Discussion.4 guards and markowski. I hope our guards can keep them off the the3 point line Because their MO lately has been creighton will hit 7 out of 8 three pointers in the 1st quarter while Nebraska will hit 1 out of 7 and we're way behind after the 1st quarter needing to slowly try to catch up for 3 quarters. Bugeaters1 Posted November 22, 2024 Report Posted November 22, 2024 Now we know why Amy plays all of her kids. Quote
redsteve Posted November 23, 2024 Report Posted November 23, 2024 Tonight Markowski became the 6th Husker to record 1,000 rebounds. And had another double-double withy 26pts and 12 rebounds. Prince had a great game with 20pts and 6 rebounds. But the supporting cast just had issues providing the 3rd needed scoring effort (and rebounds) to make up for loss of Potts. Yes, to be expected probably. Overall a great effort from Nebraska. Just not quite enough at the end. Like someone else said...have to defend the Creighton 3. On another note, tonight been watching the NU's men's team beat the Creighton men. Made them look bad. Hoiberg had his guys ready. A nice defensive scheme that worked really well. All About the Corn Posted November 27, 2024 Report Posted November 27, 2024 My post came from what was posted on the pregame notes today on Huskers.com. I would guess they think Natalie will get a medical redshirt for this year which would give her 3 more years. Hopefully that holds true. 12dozen 1 Quote

B-town hoopsfan Posted Monday at 09:48 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:48 PM Is she able to qualify for a regular redshirt with the new rules? Quote
