Yes we’ve had a little foul trouble but this has been our M.O. and I don’t like it. Trying too hard to keep guys happy and it’s killing us. Plus it's pretty obvious who should have more minutes and who shouldn't. Vinny 1 Quote

And I'm like yup the HHC board was right. it’s frustrating because it really feels like we could have a team that plays similar to last year with Essegian being Keisei, Morgan being Allick and Berke being Mast. I’m seeing some qualities in each of them that resemble what we lost. Instead we’re forcing not one but TWO point guards and a 7-1 stiff into the rotation. cornfed24-7 1 Quote

MichHusker Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Damn. That freshman killed us. That spurt right after brice got his fourth certainly wasn't great either Cazzie22 1 Quote
Cazzie22 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago We lost to a solid team. We should benefit from this when we go to Omaha. It’s not like we lost to a cellar dweller. thrasher31 and CanadianHusker 2 Quote
hskr4life Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Gotta beat Creighton on Friday or it’ll be a dreaded B1G season where we can’t afford to lose many. cornfed24-7 1 Quote

Not a bad loss— but it isn’t great when you have relatively no opportunity for quality wins before B1G season. Quote

CanadianHusker Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Proud of how they fought. Brice’s 4th foul was the turning point. Glad they fought to the end though. Really like Berke! His energy is great too. When he gets leaner and more muscular and consistent from deep, I’m talking next year, he will be a force. Capt. Morgan is solid too. Rollie will be a big plus as the season goes along. Essegian will get his too. Would be great to see Griffiths find his form and confidence because we’ve seen how well he can play. Meah needs to play a bit more sparingly or according to matchups. And I’m not sure what Uhlis offers over Sam. So if we are going to trim the rotation, Uhlis is the first casualty and Meah with a reduced role. I do have one beef with Fred: why wasn’t Essegian on the floor for the final shot? Didn’t want too many good 3-pt shooters on the floor at a time? Don’t understand that one at all. But hopefully they were saving all of their 3s for Omaha. GBR!!!! Quote
AuroranHusker Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I did like how NU battled back from being down 23-9 early on to pull within 46-43 at the half. And, then again when it was 73-63 late in the game, as the Huskers didn't fold despite a lot of miscues today. If NU could hit a few more threes, they'd have won, but on the other hand, it was a lack of rebounding & defensive prowess that haunted the Huskers this afternoon. All in all, it felt like a missed opportunity. Hopefully the team figures out its rotations sooner than later. There were too many empty possessions with certain non-offensive players on the court at the same time. I think they battled all game, which is refreshing to see from the roster. Quote
thrasher31 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Turnovers are a problem still, and 3 ball. Like the foul drawing nature of the team, but the ball has to find the bottom of the net. Berke is getting better every game also. Him emerging as a guy teams have to account for as a third guy would be massive. Quote
