Well, there you go.  Got our additional big.

 

Looks like she may have to tweak her release point on her outside game, and perhaps build her physique; but she appears to be a good addition.

I've been waiting all summer for Coach Williams to get a big girl because we were really short on backup help for Markowski.  I don't know how good she will be but it helps fill a position that needed help.

I whole heartedly agree.  We finally got another big but we had to go half way around the world to get her. Welcome aboard Petra.

Petra should bring plenty of experience to the squad in addition to some vitally needed size.  Hope it’s a nice addition and competition for playing time off the bench.

I'm excited that she'll have a year to play under Markowski to learn the ropes of BIG 10 play. (That is if she will be here this fall ?) Playing European club or national ball is some what closer to B1G ball, compared to US  H.S. ball.

 

As everyone has said 10 times. we'll realty need a big entering the picture, before Markowski graduates.

 

And.... I see Bozan is listed on the Husker.com roster now as a freshman.  So she will be in the mix real soon.        She is here here now. Just arrived.

If she follows VB player Andy Jackson's great example and strides in the weight room from her freshman year that would be great.  Cook said Jackson can touch 10 ft. 9 in.

Nice surprise - coming as it does at the last minute of recruiting.  She

is enough for this season. But with AM in her last year, we need another one in the next recruiting class - or portal.  (yeah, I always want more).

Due to the lateness of Petra's addition and her being from outside the U.S. I wasn't very knowledgeable about how much of an impact she could have for us initially and in the future.  After going back and watching her play on international video's, rewatching her in the exhibition game and listening to Amy's comments concerning her upside, I think she could be one of the biggest surprises for us this year.  She's young and has a good physique for the center position and I think she is closer to 6'5'' then her listed 6'3".  We also now have a good assistant coach working with the posts along with a good weight and training staff and facilities.  Should be fun to watch her develop.
