Miss Jaz Shelley already. She repped her team with dignity, class, and integrity. A certain baller from the next state to the east could learn a few things from J.S. Love how well she did and how great she was as a person, too. Need someone to take over her responsibilities next year, a few candidates out there, including one coming off a 1 1/2 year layoff and another being the 4-time State Champ as a true FROSH in an 18-team Big Ten. It will be interesting to see how that all develops in 2024-25. GBR Always.

I was not able to listen to or watch the Oregon State game but thought I had it taped.  But with ESPN switching networks all I got was a dog show.  I have looked everywhere I can think of for a replay but can't find one.  So reading the articles from the sports writers and reading all the blogs here I got a pretty good idea of what happened.  We played pretty good defense but didn't get or take good shots on offense.  Could one of you explain a bit why Alexis and Natalie were 5 out of 25.  Off night?  Poor shot selection? etc.  Thanks.

The Beavers had a size advantage at every position.  We were intimidated inside and they didn’t let Jaz get free.  Jaz had to be the set up player with no one to set her up for good looks at the basket

Oregon State's height was an issue. add some block shots and i think that messed with the husker minds. got a little intimidated around the basket.

defense just kept the husker offense out of rhythm most of the game.

just a quick synopsis.

Huskers were overmatched by OSU's size and playing on their home court.  I didn't think they had much of a chance after the big deficit to start.  But, somehow, scoring only around 10 pts/quarter, they were still in the game in the 2nd half.  I thought if they had made a couple of buckets in the 3rd quarter to get close, they might have a shot.  But they couldn't hit anything, even with decent looks - nobody was able to make a game-changing contribution.  Once they started making a few in the 4th, it was too late.  Real good season with a couple of head-scratching performances peppered in.  Hopefully they can build a stronger roster for next year and find a way to be a bit more consistent.

If we could have hit for even the upper 30's on our FG think the outcome would have been different. Agreed their length made it difficult. They recruit length to keep up with Stanford which always has a lot of height. With all the changes in conferences will be interesting to see how teams change. But due think WBB will continue to move to taller players. Still will be room for the 5'3" or 5' 5" player but they will need to bring something special to the table.
