I thought Maryland would win but gave up a 20 point lead, sounds familiar, and Michigan St nearly pulled one out of the fire.

In the two games with B1G teams playing so far today, there three ref's that ref in the B1G so far.

These are the ref's working the Duke vs. Ohio St. game. Officials:Natasha Camy, Mark Resch, Timothy Greene. the first two listed work in the B1G.

We will have to wait until the rest of the round of 32 is over to know for sure, but seeing Oregon State handle us and Colorado pull the mild upset at KState, it definitely seems like the Pac 12 (which also has Utah, Stanford, UCLA and USC still alive) was significantly better than the Big Ten. Even more so since Ohio State also went down today.

 

SEC and Pac 12 have a different level of length and athleticism that seems to cancel out the good shooting and passing of the Big Ten (in general).

It’s nice to have good shooters.  It’s nicer to have a player that can get a shot against tough defense.

That was one hell of a game to watch right down to the end.  Big plays by players on both teams.  Iowa state's great point guard Emily Ryan playing her last game after 5 years had 36 points.  She is from Kansas and almost came to NU.  NU and Iowa St. were her final two choices.

Refs in general in the woman’s tournament seem to be brutal this years.  Refs in the men’s tournament are inconsistent but for the most part seem to know what they are doing. Refs in the woman’s tournament seem to not know what they are doing at times lol

There was a lot of talking to the refs last night in this game by the players. Must be the Caitlin Clark effect. And, yes Brink did tell the ref off.  I think he is a B1G ref.
