I still say that this is more like the team I expect we will be throughout the season.  As everyone knows, the next three weeks will either toughen us up OR knock us to the curb.

He just touched on it in the broadcast: when we put up that effort, and play with a chip on our shoulder (he called it "Swagger"), we have a lot of potential. Absolutely creaming these guys. It's all really exciting, but this is exactly why im so negative, guys: I've been conditioned over the years as a husker fan for misfortune to be waiting around the corner with a nail studded bat ready to pummel us once we have success. So I'm optimistic but I never jump to conclusions when it goes well. lol

We have to figure out how to play this way against tougher competition.  And I think we can, at least much better than we have.  So far it seems with our two losses we played, I don't know, intimidated, or hesitant, just not aggressive and confident like tonight.

What gives with McVeigh being buried on the bench so far this season? Did he get that much "slower" over the summer? Poor match ups, whatever... I was expecting a lot more out of him this year.

Well, right now we seem to have a decent nine-man rotation, and Gill certainly looks the part of the 3-point specialist off the bench, while Roby is the presence down low that McVeight isn't, so there won't be many minutes.

He has been beaten out.  Currently he is either the 3rd or 4th option at both the wing and power forward.  I have said this before though, Jack needs to stay engaged because I do believe there will be games this year that he can make a difference.
