Jordy, Evan and Anton found their games a bit today.  Jack and MJ, not so much.   That said, MJ did some little things that helped.  He is a tough SOB.

We got from MJ what we should expect to get from him.

That is the player he is. Tough.  Works hard.  Doesn't score much.

We need him to make the shots inside 2 feet, though.

Liked the effort.   Never expected to win today but was hoping we wouldn't dig a big hole early.

Hopefully some rust came off with Gill today.   If we can get this type of game out of him.....we can still be tough.   Jordy keeps coming along.   Evan had a good game.   McVeigh is where he should be.   Hopefully we'll stay away from some foul trouble so we'll never have to see Fuller again.

i'm just glad this run is over. I think we'll be able to take a few games and upset a few teams if things are clicking. But I also think we were probably picked about right again this year.

They've got a ways to go to get into the top half of the B1G.

Anyone else a little concerned with where Roby's confidence may be?  A couple dunks and made threes early in the season seem like a distant memory.  He's looked fairly passive the last few games.

You mean the 10 game in true freshman?  I think he'll be fine.

I think he'll be more than fine.  Just asked if anyone thinks confidence may be an issue.  I believe he's looked a little timid as of late.  Is that to be expected? Probably.

To me... today he looked more like he had a minnow mentality rather than a shark.  Once that clicks... he'll be a lot better.

Miles talked about his confidence at length in post game.  Still too many mistakes is why didn't play in the second half.  He basically said Roby is being too hard on himself right now.  He said he asked him in practice what he's thinking when he's in the game, and his response was "I'm just playing."  But today for example, Miles described a play when Roby drove to the basket and got the ball knocked out of his hands and got it back, but he traveled in the process though they didn't call it.  Then he passed it out to Watson who scored.  Then later during a timeout Roby came in and was shaking his head and saying "I'm so stupid."  He was upset that he traveled, even though it wasn't called.  So Miles thinks he's over analyzing too much while he's out there. Said he told him he needs to just focus on one or two things when he's out there, whether it's rebounding or playing good defense or whatever.

Thanks, didn't have the opportunity to listen to post game.  I have total confidence Miles can get something like that straightened out.  I just hope it's something that can happen sooner rather than later.

The best way to get over that hump is to leave him out there.  Play him until he isn't thinking about it anymore.  He's a good passer.  His teammates like playing with him.  You can see it.

Watson

Tai

Roby

Morrow

Jordy

Please.  Just once.

If we get Gill going, I would like to see the minutes distributed like this

Watson: 35

Webster: 35

Taylor: 10

Gill: 25

Roby: 15

McVeigh: 10

Morrow: 25

Jordy: 25

Jacobson: 20

With adjustments based on how people are playing.

It sounds like we're going to see more of that going forward, according to Miles.  Specifically said Jack's just not getting it done right now, hence 7 minutes today, all in the first half.
