Recruiting Prediciton Thread

So we have four moves on the table. James Palmer, Jordy Tshimanga, mystery graduate transfer big man and Andrew White. I'm including AWIII in recruiting as his return next year will make as big or bigger difference to our season as a prize recruit.

So what is your prediction in each case? Below are mine.

1. James Palmer will choose to be N

2. Jordy Tshimanga will choose to be N

3. Mystery Graduate Transfer Big Man will appear soon. Even though he may be mistaken, I am sticking with my source who said one would be announced the end of April.

4. Andrew White III will return for his senior year at Nebraska!

With these developments the Huskers will return to the NCAAs and win their firstgame ever!

I agree. I drink the koolaid every day. I believe Miles will put together another recruiting class that will move us to the top half of the Big 10. The 2015 freshman class with a 2016 freshman class of Jordy T., Roby, and Horne is a solid nucleus and lays a great foundation for the future (two and three years down the road).

Jordy will help us next year but probably needs at least one year to mature and prepare to play at the Big 10 level that we need him to play. Jordy is my number one recruiting priority this year.

A senior transfer center that is capable of playing Big 10 caliber basketball immediately is my number two priority. The right person could make a tremendous difference in the upcoming season. A competent senior center and Jordy T. guarding the paint and rebounding makes us a much more competitive team in 2016-2017.

Andrew White III comes back for his senior year. We need him to come back if we are to have good season. Obviously, this is a priority. Tim Miles needs to get lucky. Andrew comes back, Jordy T. commits,and a quality senior transfer center commits. Now the pieces are falling into place for an exciting 2016-2017 season with the belief that the future years could be even brighter. Go Big Red. I'll order another round of koolaid for everyone.

Jesse Palmer -- we need a guard and if he would commit I would be very happy. However, if he does not commit to us, I do not have a problem with one open scholarship (many may disagree with me). I like the possibility of picking up a mid-term transfer (four star/five star 'big man').

M and R, not to rain on the parade now that Palmer has announced, but was your source with 'good news about a transfer' specifically about a big man transfer or were they speaking of just some transfer and that James Palmer is probably that guy? Makes a difference bc your #1 and #3 would be the same thing. I just know when that mystery big man thread blew up that 2 and 2 were put together and suddenly 'good news about a transfer' guy became that specific mystery big man.

Well, it is May now as "late April" has gone by the wayside.

 

I'm not giving up hope of a grad transfer big man's arrival in Lincoln, though, by any stretch of the imagination.

Getting Palmer was never really a worry for me. I kinda felt like we had him in the bag right away. With Miles' history with transfers and the playing time that will be available next year, it was kind of a no brainer imo.

Jordy has been my biggest worry. I didn't know if we would even get him on campus but now that we did I think our chances are good. He has a Big Ten body and seems like he will be able to hold his own right away.

AW3 has me stressing but nothing you can do about it really. If he thinks he has a shot he's gone and since he already will have his degree I can't really be mad at the guy. Hopefully he is back in a Husker uniform next year.

The last scholarship needs to go to a center, preferably one that can play right away.

If for whatever reason another scholarship is open we need another guard.

I assume you are saying playing time will be available the year after next, since Palmer will not be available next year.

I think we get 3/4 losing Out on the grad transfer. This team will be much better with Gill if you believe in the hype.

Add a healthy Ed Morrow and I feel like this team can make the tournament.. Things need to click early.
