  1. I agree with the sentiment that, for his role, would love to see him at Nebraska. He's has the size of a Griesel or a Banton. Has good vision, good passing skills. He's a better ball handler than Griesel and he's a better shooter than Banton. Other teams appear to be looking at him as a forward. We're obviously willing to let a tall kid like this with ball skills to play point. He has awesome length for a PG. He seems to know just when something opens up for him to attack. Just seems to have that feel. But he doesn't seem like a guy who's overly concerned about getting his. Good vision. Good feel for the game. He's the guy who could replace Derrick Walker's assists with Keisei. They both (he and Keisei) make really good, sharp, aggressive cuts. And Mike shows the ability to hit teammates with backdoor passes, and you just get the sense that he and Keisei would have really good chemistry. Of all the portal entrants where we've made their top 3 or top 5 this year, this kid has me most excited. Would love to get him here.

    Keisei watch

Just tackling the culture building part— if there’s one guy on the team who Id trust being away from the team for an extended period and still being able to be a positive in the culture column— it’s Keisei.

  3. That video has me even more pumped about Keisei Tominaga being back in Lincoln for one final season, and it seems obvious that Fred is very excited about the prospects of coaching a squad with #30 as a centerpiece, even having the assistants crafting new plays to free K.T. up next season by watching the NBA playoff competition. Feels like this particular squad could have a high ceiling if they all put in the work to 'fit' together well. I think Fred must have fairly high hopes for this 2023-24 NU team being a tourney caliber squad, and I tend to feel that way. GBR

I'm charging towards positivity with this move. Why wouldn't you want someone to play with his national team and spread great things about the University of Nebraska? How about Tominaga putting up gawd awful numbers against international players? How about Tominaga getting a chance to spend time with family and friends?

  5. Yeah...let's not forget this kid. I still think he will be our starting point guard before years end...even if Magic Mike comes here. "I had coaches recruiting me for all different things: point guard, shooting guard, combo guard, wing, whatever,” Lloyd Jr. says. “At Nebraska I’m going to play a lot of point guard. Coach Hoiberg loves how I read the floor, my vision and just kinda my flow in terms of the pace so he really wants to be on the ball a lot next year. In my opinion, I’m a combo guard. But the game is going towards positionless basketball, so at the next level, I can be one through four.” https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/nIGBccF9BtIW

I think he's an ideal fit. Fingers very crossed. This one will really disappoint me if we don't get him just because I just see him as being such a good fit for the role we have here.

Appears that Keisei will be gone the entire summer, which includes the trip to Spain, to play for the Japanese national team in the world cup

Not a game moment, but when Isaac Copeland transferred to Nebraska is up there for me. One of my favorite players as well.

No Sit Sunday is so far ahead of anything else for me that I won't even bother to list any others.

Nate Johnson pull-up J to defeat CU 71-70 in Omaha in the first round of the '04 N.I.T. That had been the last win over CU in Omaha for Nebraska, until Dec. 2022, when Sam Griesel, Juwan Gary, and Derrick Walker led NU to a 63-53 win.
