Watched the volleyball Red/white scrimage last night. Man, they are now even more loaded with high level talent. Can see why Cook says it's hard to pick the starters. Hord is as advertised. There must 5 or 6 that are 6-3, 4, 5. Anyway, Mendelson is very agile and mobile....especially for 6-5. National level athlete...of course. And fearless ...no fear about the setting she was in. If she has those kind of basketball skills and instincts....she could very well make us a different basketball team. Bringing that championship vibe to our basketball team is priceless. After watching her live...I'm sold.

Plus she is one year younger then the other freshmen. Just turned 17.

Too short to play at Purdue. Not goofy looking enough to play at Iowa. I guess that leaves the Cyclones.

I see that my old friend @Swan88was not amused by my attempt at humor. In my defense, let me just say I’ve been sucked in by the hype before, especially last year, and was bitterly disappointed. I’m taking a decidedly “Prove it“ approach this season as a defense mechanism for my mental health. If we can put the pieces together this year, I am hopeful for a full recovery and a return to my usual sunshine pumping state.
