I think we can all agree on this, but I wanted to make a separate thread just to say how much I appreciate how hard this team is competing and the foundation that Miles and his staff are laying. As fans, we can all wash our hands of the season and point to the future, but I don't think Miles or his staff are doing that. By all intents and purposes we are playing with a 6-man rotation and they've absolutely battled three of the best teams in the Big Ten. It would be really easy for this team to throw in the towel and accept defeat, but they keep playing hard and hanging around in games they shouldn't (or at least games Vegas thinks they shouldn't). I would love a win or two, but the realist in me says this might be as good as it gets this season. Regardless, I think this is a team we can all be proud of.

There are a few, but none that we're in on. And none really that are of B1G caliber. I know we're in on a number of 2014's though, and one or two of those are high major types. I see coach Smith down here a lot. He's been recruiting Texas hard for at least 4 years that I know of.

Now I'm crying with Andre. You tellin' me that you wanted to keep Chris over me on the 'wolves ? That's right, it's me, I've been a closet Husker fan since visiting Lincoln on the Arkansas team in the NIT Danny's first year there.....har har har. All joking aside, I've got to start listenig to the show. Listened for the first time tonight. I realize everything is new and exciting with it being his first year, but man is coach a breath of fresh air. If he gets it done here, he will be an absolute legend.

Ron in Holdrege: How are you going to get Almeida going and can you redshirt Vooch? No, he can't redshirt Sergej, and Miles said he needs to put Andre in better positions to help him succeed. People from Holdrege usually ask pretty good questions. They raise great beef, too.

Likely scenario: Ubel not playing Wednesday and then reevaluated.

Miles said in reviewing the film, we gave them 13 points where we missed layups, had t/o's that resulted in dunks, etc. He told the players if they cut that number in half, we're up 6 at the 1:58 mark. I love this guy.

While in Hawaii, did you happen to come across spot any former Husker players in a park?

Probably didn't help his cause to lose to us every year he was at USC.

OSU-- We were never in this one and looked shell shocked to even be playing in an arena where the people go nuts. Overall I think we were just trying TOO hard to make something happen, though the effort was at best terrible. Wiscy-- Wisconsin comes into town and shoots terrible. They made maybe 3 to 4 freethrows, and that allowed us to stay in the game the whole time. This was a winnable game and if we would of played Wiscy like we did Michigan and MSU, we would have won. Michigan-- We played well on defense and through them off their game by slowing things down. People were predicting them to outscore us by 40 to 50, and some even had Michigan scoring 100. Neither happened as we made it a game until the end. We fouled though clearly out of it, and it made the score difference what it is. Michigan State-- Our 3rd Big 10 road game in the first 4 games. We came into this one off a good preformance against Michigan. We were without Ubel, and no one gave us a chance including myself. No Ubel, and Michigan States next game is against Penn State, so they could not possibly be looking ahead. What we did not know was that Rivers and Shields would show up early, and the Huskers would be in it until the end. We had a lead midway through the 2nd half, and were only down 1 with a few mins to go when Talley missed a three pointer and they came down and hit one. We fouled in the end to make it a larger win for them. Against Purdue expect another slow it down game. I feel like the way the huskers have been playing, they certainly do have the possibility of winning the next two which would put them at 2-4 heading into the Illinois game at home. That game is HUGE because the following is a matchup with Northwestern at home. We have shown that we can play with any team in the conference no matter what style we play. There is a chance, and I am not overly optimistic, but there is a chance that we could be heading into the road game at Minnesota at 4-4 in conference play. The next 4 are all winnable depending on how we play.
