Minor point of contention. We are not IU. We are the University of Iowa, or UI for short. We don't understand how you guys are NU when your school is called the University of Nebraska (at Lincoln). We will honor your pig-latin approach if you agree to quit confusing us with Indiana University.

So what's Illinois?

 

 

 

 

They're also UI. It's kind of funny at Iowa with the large population of students from suburban Chicago. They refer to Illinois as UI and called Iowa just Iowa. Iowa natives call Iowa UI.

 

I was aware of the Big 8 thing and don't mind it at all, just kind of funny to see Iowa referred to as IU.
