Most interesting game is Illinois vs. Indiana. Illinois is a team who can really play spoiler. Your thoughts/predictions?

I like Illinois a lot - they've really bought into the defensive effort the last several games. Indiana's outside shooting is so poor, I don't see how they win today unless they can score a bunch in transition, and I don't see Illinois allowing that.

 

Wouldn't surprise me to see PSU pull the upset. I think Iowa pulls away late and wins handily. And then OSU better take care of business. I do not want to see Purdue trying to play spoiler tomorrow.

 

 

Watching the BTN pregame show, and I keep wondering, why aren't they mentioning Nebraska? Then I have to remind myself we aren't playing today.   Kind of a surreal feeling.

 

First time since 1998 we haven't played on day one of the Big XII/B1G Tourney, isn't it?

Really wanted to but plane tix were outrageously expensive and the only flights back to Lincoln or Omaha Sunday were at like 630 and 8am..  Doesn't really line up with the hangover I'd be attempting to sleep off.

I know a lot of people like to think one of these two teams could make a run in the tourney, but I just don't see them getting by Michigan.  Both teams have too much trouble scoring.  I'm not sure you can survive a 5 min scoring droughts against a team like Michigan.  If either of them was playing Iowa, I'd give them a shot.  Just not vs Mich.

64-54 Illinois wins - Indiana had their chance to put it away in the early part of the first half when Illinois' offense was awful, but couldn't get a big enough lead. As they've done all year, Indiana faded in the second half.
