I know that the chant has nothing to do with shaking thier hands after or clapping for the other team.

I noticed that it really caused Nothwestern to not play well to start.

I was watching the bench and some of the players and coaches, and I think a stat guy at the scores table were really looking around and could see it don't want to say bothered but it got in their heads.

I think the gentleman from Omaha is wrong in saying it does nothing for the team.  The crowd has been at a fever pitch for the tip and the other team has been shaky to start.  I know that it has been because of the noise.  And it has been the best since the start of the chant.

Now I think  we need to come up with something to start the second half.  We share our seats with any other couple who sits with us at all the games.  The wife of that couple has always thought we should stand to start the second half till the first basket.  And she has said that when we were back at the Bob.

Now the new thing next year will be, do we only pull out #NOSITDAY when we need to win the big games or does it stay for ever.

Do we stand the whole game for South Carolina State when we are up 36?  Or is it like the throw back jerseys?  Pull it out only when we need it.  Also what will happen to the #NOSITDAY if we get blown out at home.  Don't see that happening any time soon but it was kind of the prefect storm to have it work like it did.

I will stand as much as every body else, just something I have beeen thinking about.

I'd like to think that if we don't designate a #NOSITSUNDAY sooner, that the Creighton game this year would get that designation.

Hell no. Why waste it on an unranked, non-conference opponent that we will be favored over?

It was tepid at best.

YES, it should be continued.  As I have urged many times in the past (and I'll repeat the argument again, just in case anyone missed it) this is uniquely Husker.  It fits the moment.  It energizes the crowd.  It's certainly less disrespectful than "who cares, you suck."  And it builds a home-court environment before the opening tip.

So, YES we should keep doing it. And doing it.  And, as long as we each continue to draw breath, do it some more.

Agree....It needs to continue.

As cheesy as it sounds, the Husker-Power chant during the starting lineups is my favorite part of the gameday experience.  It just feels big time.  Like most things however, it will depend on whether or not the student section wants to continue it.  That group drives the gameday atmosphere.

They kind of have to since Nebraska is the only school in the conference (maybe in the NCAA) without a yell squad. The pompom group is very very limited in to what they will cheer.
