I asked his dad if they had fun signing autographs tonight at OC. He said the only thing he got to sign was the tab. The Petteway family is really good people and they have been overwhelmed by how well their son has been treated by the fans and staff.

He committed without ever even visiting PBA, right? Shows he wanted Iowa all along. The way our coaches have been pursuing guards the past couple weeks it seems they gave up on him a while ago.

This is awesome. I love the buzz that Petteway and the program are making right now. Hopefully he didn't get much of a buzz at Old Chicago!

Forget about Dickerson. We are done feeling sorry for ourselves. We are a legit program on the major upswing and its not like the old days anymore, where we were "in" on one or two big recruits and had nothing to fall back on. I have a feeling by this time next year, we're going to be getting visits from kids we couldn't have even imagined a few years ago on OFFICIALS, not the unofficails we've seen in recent summers.

This bothers me a bit because I worry about kids who have not been exposed to such hype and adulation yet becoming overexcited and digging an early hole for themselves and laying a huge egg on national tv tonight. But that's just me. As a pre-2004 Red Sox fan I am programmed to expect the worst in sports. Hopefully the hype just pumps the players up, they handle it like pros, and are on the way to becoming legendary in Nebraska.

The first time I met Terran I was shocked, if you look at him and know nothing about him you would think he is a total thug, dreadlocks, tattoos, etc, but the first time I ever met him, last year after shavon went of for 29, I talked to him and realized that he is actually extremely nice and the first impressions are totally invalid. Especially now since what I've heard from coaches, especially Ben Johnson. But the main point in trying to get across is that his first impression screams thug, but he is actually a great guy
