Since we won our first Big 10 game, he's been averaging 13.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 74% from the stripe and 47% from the floor including 35% from beyond the arc.

 

I wouldn't be disappointed in those numbers.  You?

While Shavon might have been struggling w/ knee issues, disappointment in Shields' was not a part of my thought process. He's the glue of this program. I had a lot of faith that S.S. would turn his offensive woes into firepower in short order. He's simply a joy to watch lead the team alongside Terran.

I think there's room to improve his outside shot, but that isn't a complaint, just I think he's capable of being closer to 40%.

Never been disappointed in Shavon.  He is very well spoken and a great assest to this program.

The dreaded "sophomore slump" is over!  NU is blessed with two nice wing players that have to be accounted for by other teams.  Ray G. needs to "heat" up the rest of the season.

He has been a stud the past few weeks.  He's looking far more explosive once again...and finishing buckets.  To start the year he was getting good position but was missing point blank shots or getting his chit rocked.  We need another big game out of him tonight...have to think Illinois will be ready for him after he put it to them a short while ago.

Love the way he has been playing during this run. Jumper is falling and everytime he drives to the rim, he is making the lay up and/or drawing the foul. Now if Ray can rediscover his three point stroke before the end of the year....
