Maybe, now this is just a thought, maybe Tim sometimes let's the players have just enough rope to hang them selves.

Like if he knows that it is getting out of hand he just lets them do what they "think" is right. He can then show them that it didn't work and what they need to do next time.

Kind of a "Hey, guess you guys know better, but look what happened". If we had done this, like you have been coached, things might have come out differently.

I agree that last night was as bad as we have looked all year.

With that said (and to play devil's advocate)....Saying that Miles just "Kind of took it" doesn't bode well with me.  You kept saying how he didn't use time outs, didn't show emotions.  And again, not arguing with you here. But even when we have won games, he's kind of the same way.  He's not overly emotional for the most part on the sidelines. Doesn't happen to use a ton of timeouts either.

I was telling a co-worker of mine this morning (and somebody mentioned this in another thread).  I sometimes think he lets them take their lumps when he knows things aren't going well.  They are tremendous learning moments for a team.  Plus as the other poster pointed out....then when he feel's his guys are "outside of the game plan" he can point that out.  "See how well this didn't work?"

Again, I understand the frustration as I couldn't believe our lack of effort last night.  I'm very curious to see how we play on Saturday.  Hopefully we play this next game as if determines our season.

Petteway, Pitchford, Webster, hey

WTF was with that loss, anyway?

Your shots wouldn't fall, You couldn't handle the ball

Their line ups handled you, both big and small

Heart is a characteristic of this team

But last night's game was more than your average ass-ream

Go Big Red I'll always say

Even when things don't go our way

We lost again to Michigan,

Go out and pop Northwestern on the f'ing chin.

None of this is lost on the coaches or the team, per the articles in the papers this morning.

lol who should we put it on?

You misunderstand my post.  I wasn't saying the coaches have no responsibility for how we played; just that the sentiments in CWG's post #14 and in some of the other posts on this thead were mentioned in the postgame comments by Miles, as set forth in the articles. In other words, they are aware of the problems.  And started working on them as soon as the final horn sounded.  I thought they were interesting and blunt comments and maybe someone can link.

HB I knew you didn't mean it.
