Which Postseason All Big 10 Team will Petteway Make?

To pass the time until Wednesday, I thought we could discuss a bit about postseason awards. As discussed in other threads, Terran Petteway is deserving looks at All Big Ten teams at the end of the year. My question is what team does he end up making? 

 

I would assume that the team would consist of a PG, two 2/3 players, a 4, and a 5. So based on that, Petteway would have to be the top 2 in the 2/3 category to make 1st team. 

 

Other players at his position that may challenge him?

 

Nik Stauskas 

Gary Harris

Roy Marble

Tim Frazier 

 

I don't see any other players out there that might be in that list. I could be missing some, though. They could do something like Ferrell and Appling together, though. 

 

Based on that list I would see Stauskas (The player of the year in the Big Ten in my opinion) and Gary Harris above him. Those two would be on the first team. 

 

I don't see both Marble and Frazier or any other guy above Petteway for the 2nd team though. I think that since he is playing so well in big moments and carrying a team predicted to finish last to what could be a great 2nd half of conference, he deserves to be at the bare minimum a 2nd team member.

 

Obviously, there are a lot of games left to be played, but based on right now, Petteway would be robbed if he isn't 2nd team. What do you guys think?

this is a problem of just being in a stacked position. if he winds up 3rd team, I wouldn't take it personally this being his first year and all. but I don't see him going lower than 3rd team unless the wheels come off the Husker wagon.

He's the leading scorer in the conference since the start of conference play. That keeps up, he'll be in the conversation for 1st team. Not sure if he'll get there or not, but he'll be worthy of it.

If he wants to makes first team he needs to lead us to a win over one of the Michigan teams (i.e. get us on the bubble). If we don't win any of those, and TP keeps playing as well as he has, he'll be second team at best, IMO.

Maybe. I'd bet that Pitino puts Petteway on the first team.

Petteway boatracing Frazier at this point so you can cross him off your list.  Frazier not even the best player on his own team so far.  Harris Marble and Stauskus would seem to be very deserving players at this point.  Beyond that, not sure on how much they feel obligated to stick to the positions.  If they just do it by 5 best guys, I think Petteway would be right in the hunt.  Lot of basketball left though.
