aphilso1 Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 Robin had a write-up today on the recruits that Nebraska is still after. The part on Ristic essentially said that NU will recruit him to the end, since any offer coming from Zona is contingent upon roster turnover. Nebraska's offer is not, at least for now. Ristic's "commitment" over the weekend is really more of a formality in stating AU is far and away his leader, but there is still a strong chance that they won't have room for him. hhcmatt and Silverbacked1 2 Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 Would they just have him play one year on the prep team like Ponder is? I know he might be a one and done but is that a choice for Arizona? Quote

The Coach Posted March 3, 2014 Report Posted March 3, 2014 He doesn't look like a one-and-done NBA prospect to me. Â But I'd still take him. Â Quote

Norm Peterson Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Um. Â I think I kinda like this kid. Â He has some skills. Great size. Â And he does some things. Â Including pass. Â Nah, ignore that thing about his weaknesses. Â Whoever said that about it being an assessment of an NBA prospect I think was absolutely spot on. Â Tell me you couldn't see us using a guy who has a drop step to a left hook and drop step to a right hook, both? Â bobcat402 1 Quote
Swan88 Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 At least this March we are fretting over Dusan Ristic and Trey Dickerson instead of the likes of Matthew Atewe from last March. Now that's progress!! Norm Peterson, bobcat402 and hhcmatt 3 Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 announcing Saturday. Â Shouldnt be to anyones surprise he chooses Arizona. Quote
Swan88 Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 announcing Saturday. Â Shouldnt be to anyones surprise he chooses Arizona. So . . . he did not commit on his visit to Arizona. And he still needs a few days to decide? Would love to know what that's all about? Quote

And he still needs a few days to decide? Would love to know what that's all about? Â Â Well technically, he doesn't have a spot at Arizona until some of their players declare for the NBA. Â So we're still going to recruit him until then. Â But it's pretty much a formality. Quote

berlinblackshirts Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Hmm. I am by no means an expert but je looks Way to skinny and not physical enough for the B1G. One and done? I don't think so Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 Hmm. I am by no means an expert but je looks Way to skinny and not physical enough for the B1G. One and done? I don't think so  One and done and playing in the B1G are two very opposite ends of the spectrum.  He is very talented enough to start in the B1G.  Now being a one and done is probably more of a dream but some of the best draft experts in the business think its a possibility and I trust them a heck of a lot more than anyone. lanigan123 Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 One and done to me is a stretch, doesn't mean he can't, but he isn't lottery projected. Not many are good enough for one and done, not saying he can't but it's hard. I think he will be a very good collegiate player. Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 No surprise he committed to Arizona today officially. Quote
BadBrad Posted March 9, 2014 Report Posted March 9, 2014 I was feeling this guy, we needed this one!!! I guess he cancelled his visit to the game today and already signed with Arizona. We didn't even get him on campus.  Major bummer, kid was 7'1", and could dribble, shoot, pass, and rebound. He could have been the missing piece to next year's puzzle. I guess they called him King Dusan in his native country after the first king of Serbia.  We need to start landing these studs. elbens01 Posted March 9, 2014 Report Posted March 9, 2014 He committed, but hasn't signed. Per HOL he may not even be able to sign unless AZ's bigs declare for the draft. They also said that NU is continuing to recruit until its official. Obviously its a long shot, but not quite over yet. Quote

If it were the ink would be dry on the LOI already. Quote
hal9000 Posted March 10, 2014 Report Posted March 10, 2014 Arizona was his first choice all along. Not surprising. Quote
