Has anyone had a Nate Hawkins sighting over the past several games (other than his deadpan responses to questions on the big screen)?  I like Nate's game and I believe he can be a good one, but the fact that he did not redshirt, and his playing time is really zero, makes me cautious about his possible return.  Not saying he won't, but it is certainly reason for a bit of concern.

The point being, is that we can go from being rich in a position to very poor, overnight.  If Morrow is a playa, then I want him.

I would like him as well the only tough thing is having Pinder already in the class they pretty much play the same SF position.  Unless one can grow and play the 4 it will tough to get two 3's when theres a few other needs at other positions.

Just a totally uninformed hunch, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pinder commit to go the way of some other Jr year commits we've had in recent years.  Think of names like McNeal, Joachim and Sallie.

Maybe a fun exercise would be to list the names of people who have committed in their Jr year the last 10 years and see how many of them actually ended up here.

Seeing Keanu Pinder up close at a Husker football game this past season, it seemed to me that he's not done growing yet; I suspect he'll be more in the range of 6'-10" by the time he's playing '4' at NU.

Now Pinder is currently listed at 6'8'', he turns 19 in a couple months, and his dad was 6'8''.  assuming he's a late bloomin (onion) thats possible but the odds are less likely by the year he hits another growth spurt.  We can hope that he fills out though to fill a PF role as he will be 20 by the time he gets to campus.

I realize that he may or may not grow a lot in height; but, it is quite likely that he fills out a lot. I didn't mean to state earlier that height is the sole reason for growth. He seemed to be fairly immature physically.

Interesting point.  It could be the other way around.  Ed Jr's mom, the former Nafeesah Brown, was 6'1" which is about 8" taller than the average woman.  His dad, Ed Sr., was about 6'4" or 6'5" depending on which football roster you look at.  He'd just be a junior right now; probably still growing.  Last year, article in the Chicago Tribune said his parents were told when he was a toddler that he projected to about 7 feet.  Now, he might not get there, but is it out of the realm of possibility that he gets to 6'9" when he was listed at 6'7" back as a sophomore?

If Pinder is a 3, Morrow could easily be a legit 4.  And that's what the recruiting services list him as.

I agree with Norm. In watching the  tape, his thickness and touch around the basket + his hands screams '4' to me. Wish we could see more shooting but the FT form looks very good. Seems like a blue collar junk yard dog to me.. but with some athleticism and touch. Sign me up!!!

I'm sure the college coaches on hand are impressed by how Ed Morrow is handling Cliff Alexander. He's blocked him twice and can score on him
