Listen, Sai was good enough for us to offer.  And that's with a coach who says he doesn't like taking "reaches."  Which suggests to me that our impressions about his film were accurate.  The kid can play.  You've got a guy who shoots better than 40% from beyond the arc.  With a healthy number of attempts.  And he's 6'7" and athletic.

Then you've got a kid in Josh Davis who averaged a double-double at Tulane this past year.  Almost a double-double the year before.  Just a little shy on rebounds.

I'd say both of these would be upgrades over players currently on the roster and, if you can, somehow, you take both.

I'd be perfectly happy with Vooch or Parker leaving to bring this guy in.

Now, is Washut tweeting "don't be surprised if Nebraska" etc. just because the guy is eligible and we'd probably like a player like that?  Or is there more to it?  Do we have any actual reason to think we're in the picture with this kid?

I will say that the video of his dunk showed a fairly empty-looking arena at Tulane compared to what he would have seen when he played at Devaney.

This would be too cool, so I'd prefer not to get my hopes up.

If we actually want a shot at making the dance this coming season, we need to get this kid. We already have guys on the team that are somewhat similar to Sai.

I agree that Nebraska could really use him, but I think they could use both.

We don't have room for both though.

Speculation that either Parker or Vucetic is leaving

WHAT? That is the first time I have heard that on this message board. Today

I see a ton NC State fans are hoping Josh Davis comes back to play for them. Why would he go back to the school where things did not work out the first time around?

Getting this kid would be very tough, but I think we would have a decent shot if Miles wants him.

He is obviously going to want to go to a big time conference to prove he can be a great player against great competition.

At Nebraska, he could basically set his own minutes and be our go to guy. There's also the new arena and facilities.

If wants a chance to be a legend by getting us to the tournament, he would come here.

If he just wants to blend in at a school like Kansas and guarantee a tournament birth, that's where he'll go.

At a school like Kansas though, there's no guarantee of starters minutes.

In a way, it almost pisses me off that Washut tweeted about this.  It's almost too tantalyzing to think about the possibilities for next year with a kid like this added to our roster.  If we aren't really in the mix for him, then it's cruel to us long-suffering Husker hoops fans to even bring it up.  That's like saying, "Don't be surprised if Nebraska doesn't try to get involved with every 5-star in the 2015 recruiting class."  As if.  So, Robin, there better be something to this.  You better not be throwing this random notion out there like it has legs.

NC State is hemorrhaging players right now as it is.  I don't see one of 'em swimming back upstream to return.

I'm probably not going to get any homework done tonight, because I will be stalking this site, twitter, etc...

I'm way too jacked to think about anything else

If Miles can pull off finishing this class with Tummala and Davis, then he needs an immediate raise and Nebraska needs to get ready to name the floor at Pinnacle Bank Arena "Tim Miles Court" or something like that, because considering what he was able to do with the roster he had to work with this season, he could be dangerous with a new one like this.

In terms of our success this coming year, Davis would be an even bigger get than Agau. 17 and 10 is rare at any D1 school.

Agree.  Agau could have maybe had a bigger impact over the course of 4 years with 4 years of development, but in terms of immediate impact, I totally agree that Davis is the bigger get.

So then do we call Voohes mom and dad and say come pick him up.

Then Benny can stick around to be the team manager, since he is going to live with a couple of players he can't really leave them because they signed the lease.

So if we get "a few more" transfer who goes?

Well I guess maybe Ray is close to graduating so he could go some place for his "senior" year.

Then we pull the offer we just gave to Leslee or maybe Rivers could leave because he wasn't very good last year.

I mean when does it end?

We aren't the Yankees and we just try to "buy" a new team each year, it is the NCAA and there are rules... well kind of.

(by the way I'm a huge Yankee fan so that was hard to write.) :)

RobinWashut Don't be surprised if #Nebrasketball seriously looks into 6-8 PF Josh Davis, who is expected to transfer from Tulane. http://t.co/SSDwcr3i8W

Anyone else hearing anything about this. I had heard some hints that the staff was looking in the direction of transfers, but this is the first thing I have heard of it in the media. This would be a huge pickup.

What if Miles sat Benny and Vooch down after the year and told them they are both welcome to stay but there isn't going to be any playing time for either one of them in the future and they decided to leave on their own.
