that’s playing a part too. We needed a couple complimentary pieces last year and we missed the mark. This year we need playmakers at guard and wing and it doesn’t seem like we have a ton of traction and probably won’t host any visitors until the 2nd week of April. Would feel better if Pryce was onboard but Iowa fans seem to be getting more confident he’s returning.

Good point; but there were a hell a lot of us that were pretty damn excited about most of the signees last off-season.  Simply go back and look.  Hindsight is 20/20.

Makes sense.   Thought it was reported or rumored elsewhere that he was getting $2 million offers during the season before he ever even hit the portal.

The Jays have a third player in the portal.  Frederick King must be looking for a school in which the starting center he plays behind plays 99.9% of the minutes at his position.  I believe he put his name in last year and pulled it out. Odd he hangs around this long and leaves the year Kalkbrenner leaves.

Creighton just signed Owen Freeman so if he stayed at Creighton he'd spend his last year being a decent center sitting on the bench because the guy in front of him is notably better.  He basically screwed himself coming back to Creighton this season because he would have been a 30 minute a game mid-major center who would have gotten paid his last seaosn.
