Exactly, because as usual, the player(s) who HAVE performed are done and the role players aren't inspiring any confidence that they are ready to step up to a bigger role. So we have to transfer in "difference makers" rather than getting role players in the portal.

It does feel that way, but he has seen a lot of doubles and we don't have a sure shot when he dishes.

BUT I don’t have any hard feelings for those who feel like he shouldn’t be. Definitely a fence sitter on the subject but the way this year played out after January is unacceptable.

The PG position is the biggest head scratcher for me. We need someone at that position who is at least a threat to shoot. Meah, Morgan, Berke, Essegian are all fine role players. Berke and Essegian have flashed they could be difference makers at times, just inconsistent. For Berke some of it has been health related and you can’t really fault anyone for that.

If this year has shown anything, it’s probably that we’ve had more success getting difference makers than role players in the portal. So there’s that.

It would have been nice to not have Berke get hurt.  That may have screwed things up more than we think.

1. We have competent talent evaluations 

2. We have more attractive PT, $$, and opportunities

3. Returning players will develop

4. Our coaching will fit and enhance the roster we have
