No kidding, on a side note how is Jake able to call game when he isn't there....

They remote him in.  He did the same thing for the Oregon game.

Yet after the previous game I would have said Andrew earned more time, and the two or three games before that, Berke played well and earned time.

Point being, all of our bigs are playing better, and who plays, and when they play, is like a chess match.

We're playing the hot hands and after our team meeting it seems like we have better buy-in on the concept

It would have mattered to *some* people if NW would have thrown one in at the buzzer. 😉

Yeah I retract that comment. It DOES matter. If the roles were reversed I'm sure they would've called that on Nebraska. Call it on the home team too damnit.

Why wasn't that an and-one dunk for Brice at the end of the game? He didn't put the ball down again & he had gathered already for the dunk. That's what I wondered...

Because Nebrasketball.

I assume it was for the same reason that a guy won't call a foul until he sees the ball not go in.

It doesn't help that the ref points to the wrong spot.  The foul comes around the big 10 logo.  Brice took an extra step after the foul.  What are the rules?  I would have said his dunking motion started during the foul.  The defensive player didn't really go for the ball either.  Luckily Brice made one foul shot so it didn't matter.

Well, it matters in getting the call correct. Yes, the circumstance ended well for Nebraska, but the refs ought to strive to get it right no matter the outcome of that particular ballgame.

That's why I was wondering what the rules say.  Looking at it in slow mo, Brice's arm probably gets grabbed before he starts his motion.  He is fouled, his foot lands on the big 10 logo then he takes one more step and dunks.  Since there is no continuation the foul is probably on the floor.  My guess is the ref got it right.  I do wonder about making a play like that an intentional foul or extending what's allowed for continuation.  The other option with this one would have been for the ref to not make a call.

Not making a call at all would have been a lot easier since it was 1.7 seconds on the clock... but, yeah, where's the ref going to the monitor on this one when they did for others less egregious in the game?!

I noticed the same thing on where he pointed at floor. If that was spot where foul occurred Brice was well on his way to the dunk. He also could've just raised his arm with fist indicating foul rather going TV Teddy.
