I would say it’s more that St. Mary’s is a well-established team and program, and that Nebraska is still growing into the team and program they want to be with players who are still trying to fit together as a team. It will come guys. GBR!

I'd say the 1 for 7 from deep that, to me, look like pretty good looks is the problem.

I’m so glad we have this 7-1 rim protector so St. Mary’s can just absolutely light us up from 3.

I’m so glad we got a 7-1 rim protector who is a trash rebounder.

I did not anticipate this much scoring.  The Huskers are battling.  Gaels are bricking free throws which has helped.  We have to tighten up on their shooters.  I am impressed with that Lewis kid for the Gaels.

We have seen both Griffiths and Essegian hit 3s in previous seasons so I believe it will come. But I agree. We can’t depend solely on BW for consistent shots from deep. That will make any game tough to win against good competition.

Well got it to 5 at half. Fantastic. The refs keep calling it the way they did they'll be in foul trouble pretty quick. Keep knocking down the FT's. Tighten up our 3pt defense. And we walk out of here with a win.

It just feels like, if you keep the players here, that this team is built for NEXT year. It's early. I like the fight they have. But theres what...12 Saint Mary's in the BigTen?

Feel like we are growing a bit. Happy to see us battle back and make this a game. Hopefully St Mary's shooting comes back to earth a bit. Berke needs to stay out of foul trouble. Like him on the floor

Very much agree! Like Berke a lot!

Meah ooks mostly lost out there. He is the only transfer that seems out of place on the floor. If he doesn’t improve, he will just provide a breather at the end of the half or depth for injuries.

Really miss Mast! They would be quite the team with his passing and shooting! Hope he plays next season and doesn’t go pro.

All that said, it’s great to cheer on Husker hoops again! Go Big Red!

I totally agree, especially if Mast stays around! They will be good!!!! I hope they surprise us this year too!

I think maybe we need new starters.  We've started slow everytime with Meah starting.

Our defense loses too many 3-point shooters.

I kind of like what the team is starting to look like.  Stayed calm and fought back.

Hoping for a great Husker 2nd half.

But Shon Morris said it was an “obvious call”? 😝

Didn’t look like ball was within the cylinder when we slapped the net. Glad it got fixed.

Close-out a little better on the perimeter, St. Mary’s regresses toward the mean and we can pull this out. Keep fighting and attacking the interior off the dribble-drive. They don’t have our depth, we gotta keep drawing fouls.
