White trying to gut it out but she maybe better to sit. Have not heard how bad her injured knee is. She is almost a liability on the floor. Nice game from Nissley.

We are in good shape to earn a 4th seed in the B1G Tournament.  If we win out and we have the tiebreaker with MSU.

That is the inconsistency of this team. We can go from looking like a 4 seed to a 10 seed. It is what is so tough on us fans.

To me beating IOWA in front of a full house on national tv made my year.  Especially holding Clark scoreless in the 4th qtr for the first time in her career.

Beat Michigan on the road, beat the #2 team in the country (in front of a national audience), lost on the road to the #2 team on the road (likely emotionally, mentally and physically spent) and then go onto the road again for a win.  For a team that some on this site left for dead, I am thinking that we are playing good ball.  I guess I am unsure why there are any complaints?  On top of that, we have, what appears to be, three very good recruits on the way.

So, what you are saying  is we are a top 50 team with the potential of being in the sweet 16 if we continue to improve, and peak at the right time.  I am a fan, and that possibility sort of geeks me out.

This.  And I know the Ohio State game stings because it was such a beatdown, but I feel like after the big Iowa win, we were going to have a tough game next time out.  I'm glad it was OSU because we likely weren't going to win that game anyway (they are an excellent team, plus it was on the road), and I'd much rather lose to the true #2 team in the nation than, say, go to Illinois and lose to them.

Well there's the big three, then there's the upper 4 or 5 middle.  That's where we are. We're luckily the top of that middle right now.  We were the bottom of that mess last year, but it's still the same mess just better results

Now to the game.  Nicely done, defending and cleaning up the trash off the rim is how road games are won. We definitely took the trash out today.  By my count we need three more.  Before the tourney would be preferable.  Luckily 2 of the three are in the vault

DON'T sleep on minny......watched a couple of their last games. they are playing very well even without Braun. freshman Grochiowski(?) is proving she can really shoot the three. Heyer not bad at it either. Amaya Battle is impressing lately, also.

here's what makes me nervous:

Illinois plays @MSU on Feb 29th, Huskers play Minny on Feb 24th then plays Illinois on March 3rd. don't like the time off.

 

i can easily see MSU winning out. not that the games will be easy, but, seeing MSU getting w's rest of the way. that would make 

MSU 12-6.

that would leave the Huskers needing to win out for 12-6 and having the tie-breaker. gonna be interesting final couple of weeks.

btw, did anyone see Maryland sitting at 7-7 in the conference at this point? plus, they still have OSU and Indiana left on their schedule. Rutgers and Wiscy are left also. i turned on tv and Maryland was playing Illinois and just started the 2nd half. have to say, their play was more like what you would expect out of Maryland. 

not sure what Frese has coming in next season, and, i am sure she is safe. however, a repeat of this season just might put her on the hotseat. wait and see if there are any defections after this season is completed. wouldn't that make it 3 in row if it comes to fruition? then the rumblings might begin.

Maryland has had two season ending injuries to key players, but yes not a typical Maryland WBB season.

I watched the Michigan State/Michigan game at Michigan.  Michigan should have won.  I still want to play Michigan St. in the conf. tour. with them as the 5 seed and us the 4 seed.  It would give us another quad 1 win opportunity.  The media sure loves Mich. St. and their coach.
