Does everyone remember when Saturday during the winter months was college basketball day?  I counted only 4 Saturday games this year for Nebraska!  There are 11 Sundays, which I don't mind as it fits my schedule better but it really seems strange having such few Saturday games.

I think the Thursday/Sunday games are in order to accommodate teams needing to make west coast swings now.  And even though we only have to go out west one weekend this year, keep in mind that lots of other league teams will also have to make that west coast trip too.

I remember the Big 8/12 Phillips 66 game of the week on Saturday afternoons. Then during the conference season there was always a doubleheader. Then following the BB games there was always some syndicated Sci-fi show such as The Outer Limits!

I thought about that as well.  Home court advantage might now be even stronger.

Of course it's too early to overreact but .... firing your coach midseason and then hiring his assistant who takes over interim coach and outperforms is not a good formula.

Maybe Diebler will be OK, but the long history of basketball is littered with the carcasses of interim coaches who were hired in the aftermath of their boss' firing.
