he still has 4 years to play, so maybe? I believe he has family in Grand Island iirc. I don't know the full story here though

Was waiting for this. He really is a perfect fit for our offense.  He got cited once for underage drinking and once for weed earlier this year, so was redshirted (suspended).

Assuming he's got his Tommy Boy phase out of the way, he'd be a great pickup. We're more of a self-responsibility type organization than most.

I'd be cautious about it, but if they're sure they can help him mature, I'd be for it. And if I remember right, he does have family out here, so having family ties to help keep him in check should help.

To me it sounds like he just got caught doing things most other freshmen in college do. Things that Juwan Gary and Derrick Walker got caught doing and we all think pretty highly of their character and leadership.

Sign me up. 4 years to play 4. Skilled big man!  I’m not worried about the MIP and the weed. Just freshman mistakes, to me that’s not a sign of character concerns. I got an MIP my freshman year in college, but that doesn’t define who I am. And I think I turned out fine, never been in trouble again.

I mean who am I to cast stones? I still drink a few beers occasionally and eat more than my fair share of edibles. Sign him up!

I don't know if he has relatives living in Nebraska.   He grew up as a young boy in Kearney.  I believe his mom was a coach at UNK.  When we recruited him, he spent some time in Kearney playing basketball against his old friends.  I think we have a good chance with him if we want him.
