The Polish Rifle Posted April 24, 2018 Report Posted April 24, 2018 Just if anyone was wondering if any coach in a similar situation has had success. Bruce Weber was signed until after the 2018/19 season going into last august and received a 2 year extension with a reduced buyout, and they lost their best player to the draft. Maybe we can duplicate their success. It also earned Bruce some more money as he and the AD are working on an extension currently. Quote

The question is whether they prioritize a coach's contract length. Which, maybe they do. Quote
HuskerFever Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 Well that's one way to show to coaches, recruits, parents, and the likes, that you fully support the coach: https://sports.yahoo.com/loyola-chicago-rewards-moser-deal-2025-26-223335324--ncaab.html Granted, he may have well earned that deal. Until this year's improbable Final Four run, Moser hadn't really done much at Loyola-Chicago. Guessing the publicity alone is worth the cost to the university of this long-term contract. Quote
