Northwestern isn't very good.

Could be.  They are also very short-handed.  From the Northwestern boards, it appeared that they said that Hearn was under the weather.

They suffer many of the same problems that Nebraska does.  I thought it was going to be a barn-burner based off the first half, but evidently not!

Okay, this is off topic a little bit, but I'm listening to Miles postgame show and a commercial with Matt Davison talking about his cruise comes on.  He says, "Me and several of my Husker teammates are going....".   Who's to blame for bad grammar in the ad?  Davison and his screwing off in high school English class or the idiots who produced the spot and didn't catch it?

I thought somewhat differently.  Northwestern is not an athletic team, but they are a pretty good team.  We just defending them extremely well.  Congrats to the coaching staff for their game plan.  This was a nice win.

Why is it whenever we get a W, the other team is not very good.  Give the guys credit.  They beat a team who had beaten Minny and Illinois.  Sure they are not NCAA good, but they could very well be an NIT team and a decent win for us.  Remember this is also a team who beat Baylor in Waco.

Amen!!! What in the world is with the primacy of "me" these days! Most boomers in their younger years would have been reprimanded severely by their elders for such a self-centered comment. But it's standard form these days.

Granted, every generation views such things as evidence of the deterioration of society and of the younger generation having lost all sense of what is right, while the younger ones tend to have a sense of superiority for their enlightened ways over the obvious and flagrant errors of their elders. Still . . . It's irritating as heck!

Swan, I think what Cip is saying is that it should have been "I and several of my Husker teammates ..."

Ah yes. The old nomnative case vs. objective case pronoun issue. Thanks for clearing that up, Norm. :)
