It was going to be tough to win to begin with.  It was going to be a lot tougher when there are calls like that.

Oh, IDK,, we've beaten MSU a couple of times @ PBA.

We have beaten them at Breslin also.  Twice under Miles I think.   Didn't they say Miles had the second most coaching victories in the building in the last 5 years?

Hope Jordy realizes from this game that he needs to get ALOT stronger in the upper body to compete at this level.    He is never going to be as smooth as the MSU big men - but he needs to be able to match them physically which he clearly could not do today.  May need to get the new FB weight training staff to work with him.

Unfortunately I think just about everyone was counting on Jordy further developing his game over the offseason. I'm not sure he's any better than a Freshman Jordy. He is so soft that he make sure me long for the days of Jorge Bryan Diaz.

Our big weakness this year is exploited in this game.  Our bigs do not have the necessary athleticism and scoring ability to hang with the elites like MSU.  At this point in the game we're not even looking their way.

Very Very.  This isn't the same MSU teams we have beaten in the past that were top 25.

UCF and MSU might be two of the top defensive teams we will see.  Maybe, throw Purdue in there.

As previous poster commented about Jordy, NU needs to get stronger across the board.  MSU makes shots through contact.  NU goes up weak and gets blocked.

I know the angst that exists, but crap, if we hit even 50% of our shots in the paint, we are in this game.  That falls on every player, from our runners to the hook shots, to the missed dunks and lay ups.  Gotta score to win.
