I just don't see where he fits in bit I guess he'd be good to have

Good question.  I think he'd fit in where Jeriah Horne would have been had he stayed.  This kid looks like a PF to me.  He'd sit this year and be eligible as a junior the year after.  For all we know, Copeland is one-and-done.  And where, at one point, we were forward-heavy, we're now looking guard-heavy.  I figured we needed some kind of big man in this recruiting cycle.

Two seasons from now, you might be looking at Jordy, Brandon and Isaiah across the front line.  That would look to me like a pretty formidable front line, especially with a guy like Isaiah, who's such an intuitive passer and can also get to the rim.  Having someone who looks like he can play inside out should open some driving lanes for a kid like Isaiah to either drive and finish or dump or kick.

Last day of registration for fall semester is 5 days from now  (Monday)

Unless we already have him scheduled to come out here that probably cuts us from the list.

While this guy seems legit and I think he would have a positive impact for us on the court. This could affect high school recruiting next year. We would only have 2 additional scholarships available for next season. Granted, it's too early and there are a lot of possibilities out there before we worry too much about 2018-19 season. Still, I could see an immediate impact in practice for this year

That's what I kind of figured.  When Oregon got involved, knowing they need players, I figured our chances were about nil with this guy.

Yeah but it's kind of like buying Powerball tickets.  You know you aren't going to win but it makes you feel a little better to fantasize what you'd do with all that money.

Can't win if you don't play.

This kid was probably destined for a program that is on the quarter system (instead of semesters like NU).

ESPN 100 PF Taurean Thompson has withdrawn from Syracuse...karma?

That is a big kick in the nuts for them. He would probably have been their best big man this year. Kind of like Andrew White would've been our best shooter last year.

Boeheim can (& likely will) blow chunks.
