You can afford to be mediocre on defense when you have the most efficient offense in the country.  Being bad on offense and defense isn't exactly working out for us.  12-19

You don't think you can coach shooting? Interesting.  But, I would say that's not likely our issue....it appears to fall more on the recruiting side of things.

The passive aggressive 'coaches don't take shots' posts are aggressively filling up this thread.

It wouldn't be super fruitful if someone made a bunch of 'coaches are responsible for recruiting guys who can shoot' posts, right?

USC is shutting down SMU's offense with the zone game right now.

USC makes it 7-for-7 years that a First Four winner also wins at least a first round game - trailed by double digits in both games I believe.

That zone was a huge reason why USC won this game. Other than two late 3-pointers given up late in the shot clock, they shut down SMU.
