Jugular Posted March 19, 2016 Report Posted March 19, 2016 Will be interesting to see if this kid gets more attention after this spring/summer. 7'0 from Dickinson ND. Has committed to NDSU but while thin, is athletic. And we do have some ties to the state.... http://www.wday.com/sports/high-school/3983166-davies-faces-tough-test-against-dickinson Quote
AuroranHusker Posted March 19, 2016 Report Posted March 19, 2016 With a name like Jordan, he has to be good. Quote
HuskerCager Posted March 19, 2016 Report Posted March 19, 2016 I would think that the only way we would get involved with this guy is if he - on his own initiative - re-opened recruitment. AuroranHusker 1 Quote
mwm89 Posted March 19, 2016 Report Posted March 19, 2016 Reminds me of Rich King in size and skill, based on that short clip at least. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted March 19, 2016 Report Posted March 19, 2016 Did you guys happen to catch the ironic mascot of the high school team where this 7-foot kid plays? Quote
hskr4life Posted March 19, 2016 Report Posted March 19, 2016 "The midgets" hahaha that is golden Quote
Jugular Posted March 20, 2016 Author Report Posted March 20, 2016 I would guess the Bison coaches would understand if he's getting multiple P5 offers I would think that the only way we would get involved with this guy is if he - on his own initiative - re-opened recruitment. Quote
Huskerpapa Posted March 20, 2016 Report Posted March 20, 2016 Are we recruiting him or is this simply a wish-hunt? Quote
Jugular Posted March 20, 2016 Author Report Posted March 20, 2016 I'm throwing this out there as a guy that with a good spring/summer will start getting noticed. He's 7'0, moves well and is living close to the middle of nowhere. If this kid lived in Omaha he'd have significantly more offers. And with ties to ND, I'm guessing he's on our radar. Are we recruiting him or is this simply a wish-hunt? Quote

So, you think the Bison will just release him from his LOI because a few power conference schools finally come sniffing around? I disagree. The best time to recruit a kid is BEFORE he has signed an LOI. Once he signs, recruiting efforts and budget are better spent elsewhere. Unless, of course, you enjoy tampering charges and NCAA violations. Quote

If he's signed one, I don't think it would be valid, since as a 2017 recruit, he's not eligible to sign an LOI until next November. Neebraska, jdostal and hhcmatt 3 Quote
Jugular Posted March 20, 2016 Author Report Posted March 20, 2016 He's only a junior and can't sign a letter of intent until November. That's why I said this UPCOMING SPRING/SUMMER. If he's going to get P5 offers, it's going to happen before he signs his LOI. Once he's signed the LOI, they aren't going to let him out of his LOI unless Richman leaves. busticket Posted March 20, 2016 Report Posted March 20, 2016 He didn't look like a total stiff in the clip. I wonder if Miles is willing to take a hard look at him, being a dakotas guy himself, Quote
cipsucks Posted March 21, 2016 Report Posted March 21, 2016 I say we take a pass on this guy. Every dinger we've had has been left out in the cold. Silverbacked1 and atskooc 2 Quote
