It will be interesting to see if Amy Gusso Williams will.

Well if Eichorst handles this like the Pelini firing, we should have a new coach in about 3-4 days who nobody has ever heard of and has the losing record to back them up!

It will be interesting to see if Amy Gusso Williams will.

Glad to hear that. I'm not sold on stevens. Sean callahan has already mentioned Williams as a canidate.

Would at least like to see a William's interview. She a former Husker. It would have to be an influence to her at least be interested.

 

Didn't see it getting this far to let Yori go.  But now that it's done...it's done.

 

With Eikhorst track record....who knows what he'll do.

 

2016 recruits ???? some could bail out...depends some on how fast a new coach is hired and if they can recruit too.  Williams would be a step ahead with her recent good NIT outings

 

Lots and lots of water to go under the bridge before this all works out this summer.

This is a top job in the power five so to speak. We have some of the best facilities and support for wbb in the nation. I'm betting coaches will be lining up at Eichorst door wanting a chance at the job. We could get almost anyone with a good resume to fill the position. Even Louisville's Jeff Walz who was once an assistant here.

I'll be in the minority but I really hope Williams isn't number one choice. I'd hope we'd take a shot at bigger name. For example, Jeff Walz. Just an example.

Walz is a tremendous recruiter.  Would be a good pick.

I'm all for Geno, but I have to wonder if he is thinking of retiring after tonight.  And it would take several million to lure him anyway.

We have a tremendous fan base.  If someone like Geno were hired (for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$), the fans would turn out.  But I dream soooooo big sometimes.  Jeff Walz would be excellent, and in the up-and-comer department, Williams would also be very good.  Depends on which direction the athletic department wants to go.

Walz gets paid about 800k a year. I think he would be do able. I really do hope we go for someone big with this.

 More than just swirling....one has said if she's offered the NU job ...she 's gone.  It would be a $500,000 increase at tax time.
