I wonder how Wilhelm and Blaise will feel tomorrow morning. From my seat it looked like Wilhelm took quite the blow. Perhaps it wasn't as bad as it first appeared. Blaise looked like he tweaked his ankle late. He also played a lot of minutes, especially for someone who hasn't played a lot of minutes lately. I will not be overly critical...but CJ simply has bad MOJO right now. He didn't play the second half and that may be a good thing right now. Same with Dawson. Maybe he was ill or something but I do not believe he saw the floor in the 2nd half. Once again Sam Hoiberg provided quality minutes. That is great. Those who played in the 2nd half...stellar performance. Finally, what I am about to say may be scoffed at, but I thought the referees did a pretty good job for us. It may have looked different on TV. It was physical; but to me that is big boy BigTen basketball.

The Wisconsin dude in front of me was not happy with Wisconsin at the end of regulation. Especially that once again, they relied on Choacky. -

This was a bad half of basketball compounded by the fact that I have Wisconsin fans sitting in front of me. -
I would be interested in people's interpretation of player development and at what level we are struggling? A player comes into a team setting (really at any level and age) with certain abilities, limitations and intangibles. There are then certain people and tools available to elevate that players skill set. At Nebraska, and likely most other universities you have facilities, nutritionists, strength and conditioning coaches, video, assistant coaches, peers, head coach, administration, and of course your own self motivation. There then has to be accountability and responsibility to improve and leverage your mental and physical growth/improvement. The last few years on the men's team, it was felt by many that the area lacking was not necessarily development of the player (although there may have been individual players where development may have been part of the problem); rather, it was with accountability and responsibility. Players could make errors or play outside the team concepts, and they were not being visibly held accountable. A certain player even stated this publicly. I guess my point is that I am not convinced development is as much an issue as player responsibility and accountability is. If a player blows a defensive assignment is she pulled from the game? Is making a bad pass punished? There are so many game nuances that must be done in certain ways, and if they are not done correctly, the team fails. Are we doing those little things?

It would be cool if some of his fans in Japan could/would somehow chime in (hopefully in English). Would love to here from them.

Given his recent prowess and arguably being the fan favorite, I thought I would start this thread. Good article is attached for your enjoyment. He may have fans here, but he must really be a phenomenon in Japan. https://www.yahoo.com/now/japanese-steph-curry-tominaga-joy-222843256.html

That was an uber collapse. It simply looked like a team that ran out of gas. And then a semi came up and ran over them. Good first half and a good first 8 minutes of the third quarter. And then BAM.

Bad turnovers, missed bunnies, missed free throws, poor shot selection, and then you tie those issues with the uneven talent, a team scorching hot and it was not a recipe for a win. And boy, did our defense go awol. -

How was that not a foul. If not a foul, then it was a block and should be our ball??? -
