  1. Not really Norm; yet if you look at this video, try to ignore the offensive plays (because they are, by in large, a byproduct of being 7'2"). Instead, my focus is on he runs the floor and truly protects the rim on defense. He is extremely agile and quick for a young man of that size. By the way, he does hit a nice looking jumper from about 16 feet. Just my 2 cents.
  2. Heard a rumor today (unverified) that Keisei is walking with the seniors on Tuesday. Hope the dude doesn't know what he is talking about.
  3. I am shocked that the administration and fan base puts up with his boorish behavior. Quite obviously, winning is the medicine that cures his ills.
  4. Although...using that logic infers that Oleg may be leaning the same direction?
  5. Excellent article. For those that opined about his five game absence at the beginning of the season, the rumors are dispelled here. Heck of a man and player! He has been a pleasure to watch and will be missed on multiple levels. https://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/how-nebraskas-derrick-walker-got-out-of-the-dark-place-and-began-playing-his-best/article_47d9c093-3635-5a00-a965-93f4b26d8c89.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=email&utm_campaign=user-share
  6. Oh he got quite a bit of love. He was approached often.
  7. Pity the fans sitting behind him...he sort of blocks the sun.
  8. I will say this with utmost respect for Keisei. I thought he struggled a bit today. He certainly may be worn down a bit, and Minnesota did play him exceedingly physical; but he may also be feeling a bit more pressure given the presence of his parents, the crowd expectations and his own expectations. The game to game cramping issue may be tied to this as well. The good news, everyone is picking up their games. The fact that he is on the floor spreads the floor and allows Sam, DW and many others , great driving lanes. Man this is fun.
  9. I don't know about those viewing at home, or anyone else who was at the game, but not once did I ever think we would lose . Not once, which is highly unusual for league games. A very workmanlike performance!
  10. Very physical game and a good job (I thought) by the refs of letting the game play out. Once again it appeared Keisei had issues with cramps. Those buggers are getting a tad worrisome. Everyone who played had good contributions. Great to see. Especially great to see Oleg with some good minutes given his parents are in town. Man, Sam Hoiberg does a lot of little things well, and quite frankly, many big things too. Big cheers today for the couple Dylan Riola appearances...a Rhule shot and numerous shots of Mr. And Mrs. Tominaga appearances. Man he is a big dude...and she is a small lady. Did I mention he is huge. Heck, Oleg's parents are 6'11 and 6'4...so BIG parents. By the way, a certain recruit that was directly behind our bench was pretty darn tall as well. Nice win men. Keep it going!
  11. What an idiot...but...it kinda - sorta worked.
  12. Yeah, the team has a ways to go. The scary part is that pitching should be ahead of the hitting at this point...
  13. Another thing to keep in mind about Sam Hoiberg is that, although a graduate from Pius, he is much more traveled. He cut his teeth in college and NBA courts and likely picked up pointers and game nuances from many.
  14. L0L...When I look at Minnesota I look at a team, that on the surface, has more talent than we do. So on any given day, I fear they can somehow hit on all cylinders and beat us. The fact that we beat them earlier in the year could motivate them and lull us into complacency. So, can this be a trap game? You betcha. I still believe we win this by tenish. But we cannot think about the next game until we take care of this one. Given our recent time off, do we come out refreshed or rusty?
  15. Sounds like Alabama is going to treat this "as not a big deal." What I read this morning was that he will be a cooperative witness and that no charges against him is being contemplated.
  16. Well, that game was certainly a pleasant surprise
  17. Nebraska high school hall of famer and a two year starter at Nebraska passed away. May he rest in peace. https://omaha.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/steve-erwin-former-husker-turned-banker-and-then-cattle-businessman-dies-at-age-70/article_73b801bc-323a-5363-93b9-bec1f695981d.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_Omaha_World-Herald_Huskers
