  1. The way that Coach Hoiberg builds his teams makes me think he really always appreciated the Golden State Warriors classic "Line-Up of Death" (Steph, Klay, Iggy, Barnes/KD, Draymond at the 5) they would employ in crunch situations. It's a line-up that is different than your starting line-up, and can be deployed in important situations where you feel you can take advantage of your versatility. Long, big, versatile, switchable, position-less players. This team seems to have unlimited "Line-Up of Death" potential. Let's assume our starters are: 1. Rollie/Ulis 2. Bryce 3. Gary 4. Berke 5. Meah/Morgan What would be your crunch time "Line-Up of Death?" My Guess: 1. Rollie 2. Brice 3. Griffiths 4. Gary 5. Berke

  2. My Guess: 1. Brice 2. Essegian 3. Griffiths 4. Gary 5. Berke I think the “lineup of death” has to put a premium on versatility and shooting. This lineup can run and shoot and switch everything (and hope Essegian doesn’t get matched-up on a 5). I also considered omitting Griffiths and adding Morgan at the 5 instead.

  3. It would seem that Rollie Worster hit four 3s in the first half of the scrimmage at the PBA. The guy has never made more than three in a game in his entire career.

  4. Hello friends. Launched season two of my podcast today with a new episode giving some general thoughts and takeaways from the intrasquad scrimmage on Sunday afternoon. You can listen on Apple, Spotify, or the podcast platform of your choice. New this season, you can watch episodes on YouTube on HuskerMax’s channel if you prefer a visual medium for podcasts. Will have lots of content coming throughout the season. Had some fun summer episodes including conversations with former Nebraska head coach Tim Miles, former Nebraska assistants Michael Lewis and Ali Farokhmanesh, and SEC associate commissioner Garth Glissman. Check it out if you feel so inclined or if you need more basketball content in your world.

Jacob, every time you post, this song goes off in my head. Sorry. Just the way I'm wired.

  6. Using clues of what we've seen and what Fred has said (recently he said a scout told him Rollie might be the most important (not best) player on the team)... Rollie Essegian Brice Juwan Morgan I think this is our 5 in crunch time of a close game. Swap Sam for Essegian if we're trying to hang on to a lead.

  9. Otherwise known as the John Thompson, Jr. scheduling philosophy. Georgetown would always load up on the softest cupcakes in the non-con every year, beat everyone by 50 and then do okay in the Big East and boom! 22 wins and a tourney bid. Every year.

  11. Beating #1 ranked Purdue put us in the tournament let’s be honest. Without that win we would have been really sweating selection Sunday.
