Tim Miles. Super entertaining and really sharp mind. During my era ( Née onward ), I liked them all. They all had things I liked and they coached my favorite team….so I rooted for them like crazy and defended them like crazy and wanted them to succeed so very badly!3 points -

Meah/Morgan/Berke should be an upgrade in rebounding over a banged up Mast. Not to mention you're also replacing Tominaga, Lawrence, Wilcher with Griffin, Rollie, Uhlis, Essegian - who I think all are better athletes/rebounders/defenders as a group.2 points -

So, I got a little clarification on "different type of team." Sounds like we're just really big and bruising. Might be a little more emphasis on post play? Not exactly hammering it down into Meah by any means, but it sounds like they have worked a lot on mismatches and exploiting different guys in the post. Even guys like Rollie have posted up (similar to Sam G.). We'll shoot a lot of 3's because that's what they all believe in, but it does really sound like there's quite a bit of emphasis on using the size of this team to our advantage and putting ourselves in position to get O rebounds. Little bit more grinding it out offensively to beat you down. But who knows!2 points -

If it's anything less than winning the whole damn thing than his confidence is less than mine has been 37 years and running.2 points -

Just for something to talk about while we wait for the season to begin. Who is your favorite Husker basketball coach of all time and why? I will say Danny Nee because Husker Hoops was a thing while Danny was the coach. He recruited some great players to come and play here! We won some great games in those days and of course the ties!1 point -

Morgan is going to be getting a lot of looks in the post, as well Berke, so this doesn't shock me. Having an actual PG to run P&RS will be helpful also. I think the way they can attack teams is much more diversified vs last year. 3 ball, p&r, post work and perhaps mismatch hunting. The lob threat to meah is also something we haven't had in a long time. Duby was the last one, but iirc, he had brick hands. It'll be interesting how it all meshes together, because if it does properly, I am super excited.1 point -

Last season I thought that would be the best rebounding team Fred had rolled out which was not a high bar to hit. We were on pace at the beginning of the season but we seemed to putter out once we got into B1G play and Mast wearing out. Once again I'm going to be under the assumption that this will be Fred's best rebounding team here which is still not a high bar. Let's get Tropical!1 point -

It's Danny Nee and the only way anyone surpasses him is if they win a tournament game. Too young for anyone before him, Collier sucked. Doc - I love - but he just didn't get it done and honestly there were a lot of very frustrating things about his program and his time here. Kinda the same with Miles.1 point -
He was the one I was going to list as well. Not very personable with the media or others he did not know well and a little thin skinned - but a great basketball mind - and we did win consistently with him as the coach.1 point

I gotta say Tim Miles. He injected more enthusiasm and energy into the program than probably anyone else in my lifetime and he really did make Nebrasketball cool again. Now, if Fred can get us into a position of being somewhat nationally relevant, I might be compelled to change my mind but as of right now, I gotta go with Miles.1 point -
Nice surprise - coming as it does at the last minute of recruiting. She is enough for this season. But with AM in her last year, we need another one in the next recruiting class - or portal. (yeah, I always want more).1 point
