If never been to Türkiye everyone should consider it sometime. Istanbul is a very touristic city and multiple things to do and see! Crowds always. Grand Bazaar is a definate must see.

A wild thought...college sports have now become a morphed minor league sports bastion. Players will "graduate" from minor league college programs to major league sports such as NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB and so forth. I mean it has always been that way; but before, players seemed to play for the school, so to speak, and now they will be playing for dollars and major league preparation. Now the big questions will be how long the mega donors will continue to blindly fund these minor league institutions AND how long will fan support continue for these programs AND how long will networks pay and prop up the funding of the minor league programs? Sports are an outlet for fans, and popularity can change generation to generation. A generation or two ago, baseball was, by far, the national past time. Soccer was something played overseas, not here. But things change. I am not a doomsday type of person; yet college sports in general is going to start changing fairly dramatically. Definitely great for the players in the short term; but I am worried about the future of college sports...at least a bit.

Tuesday Game: - Beidelschies 76 pitches - Herrell 28 pitches - Brown 23 pitches Thursday Game - DeVooght 43 pitches - Herrell 53 pitches - Wynk 63 pitches - Shaw 31 pitches - Jones- 3 pitches Herrell is top 5 in team ERA and has started 5 games. He’s likely out vs us having thrown both Tuesday and Thursday. We’ll likely see Bruni or Purcell. Bruni is 3-3 with a 6.10 ERA in 12 starts. He’s thrown 48.2 innings and leads the team with 41 walks vs 51 SOs. Purcell is 3-4 with a 7.44 ERA in 9 starts. He’s thrown 52 innings and has 37 Ks to just 15 walks. However he leads the team in hits given up at 74. That’s well over 1 hit per inning pitched. So our approach will probably widely differ based on who is throwing. Wouldn't be surprised to see Brown throw at some point again today as he is top 2 in ERA and didn’t throw yesterday.

Let's win a bunch more in Omaha so that Arky isn't the destination... maybe that'd help... maybe?

Fun night at the park, beautiful evening. Then went to Iowa-Illinois today. Not inspiring baseball played. Iowa gets hosed. Love this tournament and college baseball. A lot of people are missing the boat--inexpensive, hassle-free, and baseball fans from other teams are the best.
