  1. Don't you know that the three-point shooting percentage of our opponents more than doubles when they play us?

  2. Seriously, a guy shoots it from almost half court with the shot clock expiring and it goes in. From a team who shoots 28% from 3 on the year.

  3. As of right now this isn't an accurate statement. Narrative that we are a better team than what? You're the Eeyore of this board. Just because everyone else doesn't walk around here with a loser mentality doesn't mean our expectations nor our comprehension of our current status is out of whack.

    2016-17 Husker opponents

So? I'd still go if I can. Me as well. GBR I'm planning on going. Been to Allen Fieldhouse twice and would go back anytime I can. It's an awesome atmosphere. Don't care if NU gets blown out, I'll still be there.

    Scouting Penn State

Looking over some Penn State stats. They are not a very good shooting team. They shoot 40.1% from the field and 27.1% from 3. If they go 11-18 from 3, the basketball gods hate us. They struggle on the boards, being outrebounded by 4 boards a game. We are out rebounding teams by almost 1 per game. Of course, our opponents shoot 41.6% from 3 in conference games. The top 6 shooting teams are 56-104 (53.8%) The bottom 6 teams are 38-123 (30.9%). They attempt about 17 free throws a game, we attempt 16.5 per game. Without Shields, we need to stay in zone, make PSU hit 11-18 from 3, chances are extremely good, they won't do that. Interesting note: The last time PSU came to Lincoln, we attempted 48 free throws. In fact, since Nebraska has joined the Big Ten, games against PSU in Lincoln, have involved 48 free throw attempts combined (2011-12), 73 free throw attempts combined (2012-13) and 71 free throw attempts combined (2013-14).

  6. that's what i am hoping. watched some of the penn st-msu game. msu just didn't seem to have much "energy" for that one. maybe they thought they could just show up on their home court and wouldn't be a problem. msu had a few chances to pull away, but, couldn't do it. you know the saying, "when you let a team like that hang around".... hope the huskers don't let powers go off like she did last year-----even though, somehow, the huskers pulled that one out @msu. maybe put maddie on her? i would like to see her minutes increased. expecting a hard fought game. i'd be really surprised if huskers don't come out and compete. i suspect whoever wins, won't be by much. players really could use a shot of confidence.

  7. They have had a lot of games in a short period of time. Maybe we are catching them at a good time.

    1-10 against RPI top 100

I wish Nebraska would schedule UNO some more. They played in Miles first and third season and they were really fun games to watch. Also Creighton, who played two or three teams from UNO conference this season, needs to man up and schedule UNO. You have a Summit League team that would love to play you basically in your backyard. Why pay to have Summit League teams come from hundreds of miles away.

  11. Just curious. What is your obsession with all of this? The constant CBI talk? The "Our RPI will suck no matter what" talk? Just curious if you want to be that guy that says "See, I told you we wouldn't make the NCAA or NIT" Just curious your angle? So let me say it now in case it does happen. "Good job Pimp Mario! You were right!" There ya go buddy! Happy Valentines weekend! This board is dead. Talking about how much we suck is a tried and true Nebrasketball pastime isn't it? On the way home from the games we always look at the remaiming games and say we will go 1-3 with 2 toss ups. The good times will be sweeter because we are died hard fans. I will admit it has been a bit frustrating after the samford and conference opening losing streak that some didn't realize we were eliminated from merit based tournaments. 12. Early on the year I focus more on kenpom rpi. As the year goes on the normal rpi gains more meaning. I decided to check today. We are 159th. But the really eye opening stat is 1-10 against the top 100. Omaha is 135 and Creighton is 85. I wonder who would win if we played both of them right now
