    ... next year (ducks)

Per Stumer for Loyoloa Marymount of Loyola Marymount glory days comes to mind. Declared early, only to find that there was no market in the NBA for a guy that can get the ball out of hoop quickly and inbound it.

  4. The negative recruiting mentioned in the article has nothing to do with other schools telling Roby that Miles is leaving. Rather, other schools are telling Roby that Nebraska is a football school with very little basketball tradition. All Miles had to do to show that basketball was important at Nebraska was walk around on campus on Saturday and be treated like a rockstar.

  5. I see on the recruiting board that Watson, Jacobson and Morrow's thread have all been pinned and at the end of the topic have - signed. When did early signing start? I thought it was later.

  6. By the way, kudos to Norm for finding all this recruiting info the past few days. I can't get enough of the recruiting section on this board.

  7. Well I would still try to sell the hot coach leaving pitch.

  8. I can't believe I live in a world where recruits are being fed lines about Miles leaving as opposed to our years of baggage and history. Good times! These are the greener pastures, btw. This is the B1G, Miles has great facilities, he's close to his family, he can have as much or as little attention as he wants, and he's being paid well. I fully expect he'll be paid even better after the end of this year and we'll have to find something else to worry about.

  9. you are missing my post above. He is FROM Houston, where Barnes is located, but goes to school in Virginia. So he relationship with Barnes stems from his time he spends at home working out in the summer time. FWIW, my post was directed at Normy's inquiry about Adam E. Barnes... and, I am aware of the Houston connection. Badgett fan in the OP said that Barnes was coaching at the Genesis Academy. That post was from a year ago, BTW. Nevertheless, IIRC, I do believe I checked Barnes' twitter feed at the time and, if I'm not mistaken, I do believe he claimed he had taken a position on that coaching staff. I don't believe he asserts being connected with that program any longer, though.

So, finally figured out this photos posting thing. So, here is the photo mentioned in the above post from the McNeese game [hope, again, that this works]:https://twitter.com/swan888/status/516791237312258049 He looks a lot like coach Hunter.

  12. I was thinking the same thing, Silver. If it's Crayton doin' the yakkin', irony is that their coach will likely be gone before Miles & Co. leave; CU under big McD w/o lil' McD is goin' nowhere fast!

  14. I would think that the "word" is that Tim is gone in the next year or two, to bigger and better pastures. That is what I would say bad bout this program.

  15. Wow. Didn't realize it was that unorchestrated. Seems like that leaves a lot up to chance as far as whether a recruit hits it off with his host or enjoys the activities they put together for him. Is that how all schools do it? I mean, I'm sure there are some planned activities, but I just can't imagine spending time on a recruiting visit playing video games. This is just at night. The rest of the day is planned out to the minute. Once all the school stuff is done and the game is over thats when its time to unwind. You'll see many kids pick or eliminate a school from it. This is when theres usually no parents and coaches around and the kid can get to know future teammates, see the city, and ask the questions they may not ask an "adult". Some of the guys actually enjoy just resting and playing video games. Some may have flown in thhat morning, went straight to the stadium for a couple hours of tours, then they spend 4 hours at a game. At that point you can be completely drained and just want to rest. Every recruit is different. Thats why they try and match them up but usually they go in groups so that way they can have some options and if someone doesnt click they can still talk with others.

    Season Ticket Swap?

Deal. Shoot me an email at [email protected] and we can iron out the details. I'd put my phone number on here, but I don't want any of the usual pervs on the board sending me and sexts.
