    Who is for CSU?

Rooting for the former teams of our coaches vs the team that ended up with Akoy Agau? Sign me up for shotgun in that bandwagon.

    Big Eight

Hey, Nebraska might be the only Big Eight team not to lose in the first round of the tourney this year! That 16 beating a 1 thing is going to happen sometime. Might as well be this year....

    Here's a guess

If we hadn't made a coaching change last year and made the change this year instead and if, therefore, Tim Miles had remained at CSU another season ... I'm guessing we wouldn't be able to afford him this year. His market value this year would have been HUGE. (I'm assuming he gets CSU to the round of 32 if he's still there.) I'm thinking we pulled the trigger at the right time. AND for all you worry warts who didn't want TO in charge of searching for a new head basketball coach ... ... well, you know who you are.

  8. Kentucky only has 9 guys on scholarship this year. They are expecting Noel to go pro and possibly either Wiltjer or Harrow to transfer. Mays and Hood will graduate. Polson was a walkon who was given a scholarship this last year because they had plenty left over. They will have room for everyone coming in. They may even bring in one more player (possibly Wiggins) so they are not worried about the scholarships. Oh and to the guy who says Kentucky's system won't work all the time or is too risky, just remember the 4 seasons Cal has been at Kentucky. First season they were #1 almost the entire year with Wall and Cousins and had the overall #1 seed in the tourney. They lost in the elite 8 to West Virginia. Second season they made it to the Final 4 with Brandon Knight and company. Last year they won the National Championship. This year was the first disappointing year with the NIT bid. No question they would have been in the tourney if Noel wouldn't have gotten hurt. They wouldn't have been an elite team with Noel, but possibly a sweet 16 team. 4 seasons, 3 Elite 8's, 2 Final 4's and 1 National Championship. I think those numbers say the system works and doesn't appear to risky to me. The other thing people don't understand about Kentucky under Coach Cal, is that they think his system is only playing with Freshman. That was the problem this year, they didn't really have any contributors who were upper classman and most the players had never played together. The top 7 scorers from last years team all left or graduated. The previous 3 seasons all had upper classman or at least experienced sophomores that helped form the core of the team. The freshman (Wall, Cousins, Knight, MKG, Davis) just happened to be the star players. Lot more to Kentucky's success than just freshman.

    Big Eight

I will always miss the last "real" Conference we were in. But, I do take some satisfaction in knowing not ONE team from the state of Texas made the tournament. Oh, and how's that Longhorn TV channel workin' out?

  14. This is the right move for Creighton in the long run. For all the people saying that they will get run over in the Big East, that might be true. On the flip side, once Doug McDermott graduates there is no guarantee that they will continue to win the MVC. The players flip every four years. You can always get rid of the coach. They already have the facilities. Being in the Big East simply raises the ceiling for Creighton. Who knows if their elevator ever makes it to that top floor.
