Norm Peterson Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 At the old Boston Garden, there were certain dead spots in the parquet flooring and you had a definite advantage knowing where not to bounce the ball. Or so I've been told. I never actually bounced a ball there. Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 I like the parquet flooring my self can someone make it so like GATA Quote
49r Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 How about a herringbone pattern like the Nets? Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 the parquet floor is better on the eyes IMHO. Quote
HuskerFever Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 @49r, that floor is pretty slick. I like it! Quote
uneblinstu Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Something fairly subtle like what I'm seeing at Butler right now would be cool too. Quote
uneblinstu Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 @49r, that floor is pretty slick. I like it! I do, too. I think Brooklyn's floor is my favorite NBA court. Quote
Dean Smith Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I'm sure the people in Brooklyn paid extra for the wood with that specific pattern in mind but when you build a floor the longer the board the better the wood. The shorter boards normally are cheaper and lower quality. Quote
uneblinstu Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I'm sure that's true, but it does look sweet. Quote
cozrulz Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Something fairly subtle like what I'm seeing at Butler right now would be cool too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zm5wknd8RwU That game was awesome. Here are some pics of the court: They used to have a darker wood which I'd like the Husker court to use. As dark as this or the old Boston Garden. It should be that instead of the current generic renderings. Quote
uneblinstu Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 you can see it a lot better in the video than you can in the pics... Quote

Silverbacked1 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 That is so cool!!!!!, I really like that. It is subtle but still something different. Quote
uneblinstu Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 doing a search for some Webster hightlights, i found this. I think we should go in this direction. Quote
jimmykc Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 For all these years I had thought that Long Beach State played in some sort of unique arena shaped like a pyramid. Now I find out it was just some guy called Walter's name. I am devastated. Quote
hugh42 Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 doing a search for some Webster hightlights, i found this. I think we should go in this direction. Let's see who can identify the native Nebraskan in these highlights? Quote
lang Posted February 9, 2013 Report Posted February 9, 2013 Nice discover Hugh, Shawn Redhage from Lincoln East. I guess he is now a naturalized citizen of Austrailia and still playing ball. Quote
