Is something wrong with Burkamper. The announcers are making it sound like he is not an option tomorrow.

Idk if something is wrong with him but in potentially the last game of the season, I'm def throwing Meyers over Burkamper.

No clutch hitting today and pitching wasn't great. Hopefully they can get some momentum against a lesser team (I hesitate to refer to them as a lesser team btw) and string together a couple wins.

We have enough arms that are capable of pitching well and making a run. Now we will just have to see if they can execute.

As the last out was recorded my son turned to me and said, " Bet Clemson looses today and then it will be really fun tomorrow"

The way things have gone lately I wouldn't be surprised!

IMO...that would actually be best case.  I would much rather have to beat Clemson once as opposed to twice if we somehow make it to Sunday night.  With that said, the way we are swinging the bat right now its probably more likely we go 0-2 rather than make it to Sunday.

I wondered after that first inning if they were going to have enough runs to beat us today.  Fears were realized.  It does look like we are back to being cold.  We'll see what happens now that the season is on the line.

Oh boy, I hope your boy is wrong. smh[/qu

I did hit him with a rolled up newspaper if that makes anybody fell better. It sure did me!

Don't get me wrong. Myers has pitched great this year. However, with Schriber having to DH. I also want both of our top hitters in the line-up.

Bolt is absolutely in the tank.  With the lack of talent throughout the lineup, you can't have your best guy (since Schreiber is out) be in a massive slump at year end.  Sad to see him end his Husker career this way.

The season is not over my friend.
